Chapter 50 - Paul's Request

Meanwhile, nasimulan na ng Valientes Group at nina Taylor na ipatayo ang first college and first fashion school sa Table Hills. They started to distribute free farmland to the poor farmers of Table Hills. Pinamigay na din ng Valientes Group ang mga truck na gagamitin ng mga farmers sa pagdadala ng kanilang mga ani sa main city ng Escoda. In this way, more investments came in the Valientes Group, making Stephanie, William and Taylor more richer. Though, Taylor's family shares in the Valientes Group are used for humanitarian aid and by giving weekly groceries to the whole Table Hills community. The headquarters of Valientes Group are located in Financial District of Escoda City, and the secret meetings are held in Table Hills, sa manor nina Taylor.

August 18, 2015.

Meanwhile, nagusap naman sina Paul at Lauren sa Escoda Island. Paul lives in an executive village in Bagong Malagasang, Escoda Island. Inimbitahan si Lauren duon sa bahay nila na magarbo for a martini drink. It's near the Escoda Island Beach. Escoda Island is like Dubai, maraming matataas na buildings at mga luxurious na residential areas. Lauren just rode a bike going to Escoda Island.

"Lauren, thanks for coming sa bahay! Come in! Bakit di ka nagkotse papunta dine!" Paul said, shaking Lauren's hand.

"Sanay ako magbike kaysa mag-kotse. Nagkokotse lang ako pag malayo pupuntahan ko." Lauren answered.

"Sabagay. Halika, pasok ka!" Paul said.

Paul's villa was a Mediterranean-style modern near the seashore. It's a very big, and a very beautiful villa. Mayaman din si Paul, his family owns resorts in Escoda and in some parts of Promenada.

"Saan mo gustong magkwentuhan Lauren? Sa rooftop o dito sa bar?" Paul asked.

"Sa rooftop. Presko ang hangin dito eh. Ang ganda pa ng tanawin." Lauren replied.

The chamberlain gave Paul a bottle of a Hennessy Paradis whiskey (that costs around Php 92,000.00) ice, and cola. Umakyat sila sa rooftop.

"Yun pala Paul, anong reason at bakit pinapunta mo ako dito?" Lauren asked. They started to drink that expensive whiskey with cola on the rocks. The afternoon sky and the breeze of the sea are making the atmosphere fit for a talk, and for a drink. The tall skyscrapers behind the village are also a good sight to them.

"Yun, ako naman ang babawi sayo. Thanks for the friendship that we have, though. But, you can consider this as a date." Paul replied.

"I see. Thanks for welcoming me into your house. I appreciate it." Lauren replied.

"You're much welcome!" Paul smiled.

"What do you want to talk about?" Lauren asked.

"Well, gusto kong humingi ng help sayo Lauren. I've been sad these days. Una, hirap din ako sa college life at sa pagaacting ko sa theatre, pero ginusto ko ito at passion ko ang acting ever since. Minsan, wala na akong time para magpahinga, siguro ngayon lang." Paul said, drinking his shot.

"I see. Hindi mo ba naaayos ang time management mo?" Lauren asked.

"To be honest, yes." Paul replied.

"I see. So, ano bang maitutulong ko?" Lauren asked.

"Alam ko na classmate mo si Katrina. We've broked up. Little did you know na girlfriend ko siya. It hurts me so much." Paul answered.

"Woah. I didn't knew that you and her are in a relationship! How did that happened?" Lauren said, surprised.

"Well, since her second year, duon ko siya naging girlfriend. At those times, talagang matindi ang pagiibigan namin. Yung tipo ng love na everyday kaming magkasama. She also lives here in Escoda Island, sa bandang Tanza Uno naman siya at medyo malayo dine. But yun, nung nag-college ako, aminin ko, nahati ang time ko sa theatre, sa school at sa kanya, hence, we broke up. Ang tagal namin pero nawala lang dahil sa passion na sinusundan ko. Pero Lauren, mahal ko parin siya." Paul answered.
