Chapter 33 - Tunay Na Kaibigan

Mitch, one of Lauren's best friends, is in a hard training. This is her 7th race in her career as a car racer. This June, ay may laban siya sa Promenada City, the capital of the country. She was excited but, kind of nervous kasi major racing event ito, at may chance na makapagrace na siya sa ibang bansa pag naipanalo niya ito. She won 4 out of her 6 races that she participated.

Nagkasalubong si Lauren at Mitch sa isang mall sa Financial District. Namimili kasi si Lauren ng mga football jersey sa isang Adidas store. They gave a hug as they met each other.

"Lauren, sorry kung naging busy ako, kasi matindi ang training na ginagawa namin ngayon kasi malaking event itong paglalabanan ko. Sana makapanood kayo nina Taylor ah?" Mitch said.

"Yes, susuportahan ka namin! Magpapabook na ako ng ticket in case or magtatravel kami sa Promenada City kahit malayo! Ikaw pa, malakas ka sa amin!" Lauren said.

"Salamat talaga Lauren! Tropang totoo ka talaga! And, pagpray mo ako lagi." Mitch said.

"Syempre naman! Ikaw pa!" Lauren smiled.

"Thank you Lauren! Tatawagan na lang kita sa Messenger in case! See ya!" Mitch said, then she hugged Lauren and went out of the shop.

"She's gonna win that race, I believe!" Lauren smiled.

The next day, an unexpected event happened, something that will shake Mitch. It was a rainy day at the racing grounds where she was training.

During training, her car crashed.

Wasak ang kotse niya. Did Mitch died?

She didn't die, but she was seriously injured. Thanks to the airbags of her car and the helmet she was wearing, hindi siya nagkaroon ng kahit anong injury or damage sa ulo, but some parts of her upper body and her whole lower body was gravely injured. Her car was wrecked, yes, her expensive Porsche 911 car, was wrecked. Bumangga ang kotse niya sa mga barikada ng racing course, with the front crashing first. Nawalan ng kontrol ang kotseng sinasakyan niya, or due to the slippery concrete, the tyres went out of the control.

Mitch was rushed to the hospital. Mitch's mother immediately called Lauren as Mitch was rushed to the emergency room.

"Lauren, si Mitch, naaksidente sa training niya! Nandito siya sa ospital!"

"Hala tita! Ano pong nangyari?!" Lauren replied, shock to what happened to Mitch.

"Bumangga yung kotse niya sa barikada. Grabe ang injury na naranasan niya! You need to come and check it out!" Mitch's mum answered.

And Lauren was so worried that she cried.

"Mama, naaksidente po si Mitch! Yung kaibigan ko! Mukhang critical po ang kalagayan niya!" Lauren cried.

"Sige na't puntahan mo muna si Mitch anak! Diyos ko, ayokong mawala din si Mitch, bata pa yun at may pangarap pang makapag-karera sa Europe!" Rita said.

Lauren called Erica, Tessa, and Christine immediately. The three quickly responded and together, pupuntahan nila si Mitch sa hospital.

While on the way to the hospital, she called Taylor. Taylor is in a meeting in her family manor.

All of a sudden, Taylor's phone began to vibrate, and she excused herself and went out of the meeting room.

"Lau, napatawag ka?" Taylor said.

"Taylor, si Mitch, yung tropa natin, naaksidente!" Lauren replied. "Malala ang naging damage sa katawan!"
