The Langham Hotel part 2/4

"It smells of old people" Jake says as we walk in
"You say that everywhere we go" I laugh
"It's so tiny in here" Colby says
"Dude they have a guard on the window so you can't open it. You know what freaks me out. Looks how small the room is and somewhere in this room people got killed"
"Yeah it could literally be where we're standing" I say
"What's through here?" Sam asks walking over to a door. He opens it up to reveal a bathroom
"Is it just me or is it like super hot in here?"
"Yeah it is hot in here" Colby agrees with me
"I'm actually sweating right now" I say fanning myself
"Let's get out of here" Corey walks out with the rest of us following him out. I sit down on the bed
"What I don't I understand is why there's so many deaths. Like is there something that negative in this hotel that's possessing people to kill?" Colby asks no one in particular
"What the fuck is that" Corey points to a painting above the tv "it's like a demon drawing"
"Why do they put scary drawings in haunted places?" Sam asks. Sam then opens up the closet and Jake takes out a dressing gown
"We need to burn these. I'm not having them move again while we're asleep like at the Queen Mary"
"We should leave it open and see if they move"
"Ok who are you and where's Corey?" I ask
"Hey guys" Jake says with his back to us. He then turns around and opens up an umbrella
"You did not just open an umbrella in doors" Corey yells
"And he's back" I chuckle to myself
"Can I ask Talia. Are your superstitions the same as ours?" Sam asks
"Errm not really. I mean I don't really believe in them plus I grew up here, but mums were different. Like instead of Friday the 13th being a bad day it was Tuesday the 13th. Hats on head when you walk in the house and the colour yellow is actually seen to represent the devil so you shouldn't wear it on important days"
"Oh shit"
"Personally I'm not superstitious. I don't believe in any of it" I shrug

A few moments later the boys all freak out about how the window was locked when we first came in but now it's open and Sam is hearing creaking and knocking. We go and check out the other room that has been booked then we go and look around the rest of the hotel. We find birds all over the hotel which we find odd.

"Dude look. Does this count as a portal right here?" Corey points at two mirrors opposite each other that
"Uh oh" Jake says and Corey continues to point out more mirrors that are facing each other
"Babe look" I point at a hand print on one of the mirrors
"Oh my god. Corey did you touch this mirror?"
"No" Coreys eyes widen as Sam tries to show the camera the hand print
"Ok but what if it's been put there on purpose? Like there loads of people staying here what if someone just did it to try and scare people like us?"
"Talia has a point, but it's just weird" Sam points the camera to me. We get into a lift and Jake whips out an apple from nowhere
"Where the fuck did you get an apple?" Sam asks
"Why are you so weird?" I shake my head. Sam rubs his head as were walking around
"Yo bro are you good?" Colby asks pointing the camera at Sam
"Yeah I think it's because of sleeping on an airplane but I've had a headache all day. Like a painful migraine for like 2 seconds then goes"
"They say when you have a headache or the back of your neck starts hurting that mean like a spirt or demon is trying to attach to you and if your getting a headache in an investigation you need to go outside"
"I think we should go outside for fresh air" I say and the boys agree.

After getting fresh air we head back to our room. Jake and Colby lie down on the bed. Corey sits in a chair next to the bed while Sam stands up. I lie down so that I'm in between Colbys legs and my head is on his chest
"Did we agree on seance or no seance?" Sam asks pointing the camera to us all
"Seance" Corey says with a straight face. I look over at him concerned
"You good bro?" We all start laughing
"No seance" Corey now says
"I think we should play it as normal ghost hunters. Let's just set up our ghost equipment and see what happens" Colby says hugging me tighter
"Yeah this isn't about putting ourselves in danger. It's about figuring out if things are paranormal. We did finally get some new gadgets" Sam says
"I could fall asleep right now" I sigh
"Yeah well I'm getting a cramp so up you get"
"Nooooo"
"And she says I'm a kid" I glare at Jake
"You guys explain to the camera about the equipment you guys got. Imma just lay here" I say rolling off of Colby and closing my eyes
"Nope. Come on" Colby pulls me up while I groan
"Fiiiine"

We turn off the lights and sit at the end of the bed
"So we got an EMF reader which will light up if there's and electrical current. We've also got a green grid which will show up any movements. And finally, I think he's the only one who's ever used them" Sam passes a packet to Corey
"Dowsing rods" Corey takes them off Sam
"I stoped using these recently because things just kept happening and I was getting a lot of comments saying these were just as bad as ouija boards"
"Wait what?" We all say looking at Colby
"Why?" I ask
"I don't know. They would literally call me an idiot. I think it's like a witches tool or something"
"It says right here water witching" Sam picks up a piece of paper and reads off "eventually dowsing became known by the church's as work of the devil over time and therefore disappeared by the public view. Peasants needed dowsing to find their water source so it was done secretly"
"Spirits would tell them where water was" Corey says slightly freaked
"Yeah" Sam responds
"Not spirits but the devil" I say looking at the paper in Sams hands. Corey has a go and the rods cross at his question asking if there's someone in the room with us
"I'm like super cold right now" i say showing my arms
"Your covered in goose bumps" Colby points to my arms
"I say let's get set up and start investigating" Sam says and we all agree.
