"Lilah?" Mason sits up quickly after hearing the front door shut. He waits for a response for a few seconds before he bolts downstairs, the brunette only being met with Declan.
"Who gave you a key?" Mason asks.
"I nicked August's because Lilah's not back from Budapest yet." Declan replies.
"Oh yeah, she's playing soon." Mason reminds himself before Declan slaps him on the back of the head.
"What was that for?" Mason asks, holding the back of his head.
"For being an idiot, you're lucky I'm not dropkicking you too." Declan responds.
"I'm not an idiot." Mason huffs as they sit in the living room waiting for Lilah's match to start.
"Yes you are. Why'd you go off on Lilah for no reason?" Declan asks.
"I don't know, I know it was stupid of me but I didn't expect her to walk out and not come back for a few days." Mason replies, leaning his head on the back of the sofa. Declan shakes his head at him as the team do their walkout, Lilah being stood behind Olivier Giroud who she managed to make really good friends with over the 4 months she'd been there.
"And she looks extra pretty tonight too." Mason mutters to himself as Chelsea walk down the line of Vidi and shake their hands.
"Mate you do know how hypocritical it was of you to say that? You told her god knows how many times that you weren't fussed she was asked to play full-time with Chelsea and now all of a sudden you're bothered about it?" Declan comments.
"I'm not bothered about it, I'm not, I'm just stressed out with stupid Derby County. I've got Lampard down my neck for no reason and I took it out on her when I shouldn't have." Mason sighs.
"It's a good job she comes back tonight because you're genuinely fucked if she doesn't come back here." Declan responds.
They both went silent as the game began, Mason watching his girlfriend's every move on the pitch with the rest of the Chelsea team. Willian scored the first Chelsea goal, the team then going into half-time which is when Mason messaged her to see if she was okay. As she had done the last few days, she replies with a simple thumbs-up before she and Kepa pull another prank on the team.
Once halftime was up, the team went back onto the pitch and carried on with the game, the girl managing to get a yellow card for something overly stupid. She rolled her eyes at the ref and walks away, the girl moving some of her loose hair out of her face before she carries on, the team reaching a free-kick around the 74th minute.
Barkley lined it up, Lilah standing close to him as both Mason and Declan watch them nod at one another. The two brunettes look at each other before they turn their attention back to the screen, Declan leaning forward in anticipation. Barkley runs straight past the ball to trick them Lilah running up and booting the ball straight into the net before she runs off cheering with Olivier Giroud.
"Why did I ever actually say she didn't belong with Chelsea when she's got 15 goals with them this season and we're not even halfway through?" Mason huffs, slumping back into his seat.
"Because you're stupid." Declan shrugs.
"That I am." Mason sighs.

"I'm keeping everyone awake." Lilah laughs as she and Kepa sit together on the coach.
"Yeah, we know." Kepa responds, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Don't get sassy on me Kepa, I'll beat you up." Lilah jokes.
"Finnegan, your stop." Kante calls cheerily.
"Thank you N'Golo." Lilah replies, the girl getting up and slipping her coat on. She gets off of the coach and gets her luggage, the girl being hugged by Sarri before she turns around and realises she was at home. She mentally curses to herself before she walks down the pathway and into the house.
She sighs in relief as she sits down on the floor, the girl ending up lying back onto the tiled floor with a massive relief washing over. Mason walks downstairs as quietly as possible, the brunette looking at his girlfriend lying on the floor before he gets to the bottom.
"I wouldn't come anywhere near me, I'm 99.9% sure Kepa lied when he said I didn't smell of sweat." Lilah warns him, knowing he was standing there despite not being able to see him.
"How was it?" Mason asks.
"Dec told me you were watching the game so you know how it was." She sits up, her legs stretched out in front of her and her hair now a mess as she'd taken it down from her ponytail. Mason holds his hand out for her, the girl taking it softly before he helps her up off of the floor. She looks at him for a second before she turns around, the girl grabbing her phone off of the side table before she sprints upstairs to the en suite bathroom so she could shower.
"Have you eaten?" Mason asks.
"Yeah, Olivier got us all food on the coach back." Lilah calls from the shower. Mason nods to himself before he sits on their bed, the brunette patiently waiting for her to finish in the shower so he could apologise.
"Lilah?" He knocks on the bathroom door lightly.
"Yeah?" She replies, the girl still being able to hear him clearly over the noise of the shower.
"I'm sorry about what I said to you, I know it was unfair of me to say that after I told you I didn't mind. I don't mind, I'm just having a tough time with Derby at the moment and I've for Lampard down my neck about it." Mason apologises.
"One minute." She replies, the girl rinsing her hair of its conditioner before she gets out. She dries herself off and changes into her black joggers, lace bralette and her hoodie before she walks out of the bathroom, the girl towel drying her hair as she sits beside him on the bed.
"I love you." She sighs, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too." Mason replies.
"Next time you're stressed out tell me, I'll go down to Pride Park Stadium myself and beat Lampard up for it." Lilah jokes, a smile appearing on his face.
"I hope you know I meant nothing of what I said to you." Mason looks at her.
"I know." She sighs softly.
"As much as I'd love to watch this right now, I'm exhausted." Lilah says, noticing that her favourite film was on pause.
"We'll watch it tomorrow then." Mason smiles, pressing his lips to hers softly. Lilah kisses back and puts her sleeve-clad hands on his cheeks, the girl moving herself so her legs were on either side of his and she was in his lap.
"I thought you were tired?" Mason teases, feeling her hand slip under his shirt.
"I will be after this." She replies, noticing the smug smirk make it's way onto his face as she smiles at him.
"You're too good to me Finnegan." He replies softly, pressing his lips to her neck softly.
