I try to recover. I hold my breath.

"No, I'm fine. I'm Jared, I'm fourteen." He smiles at me. "What's your last name?" He asks. "Well whats's yours?" I reply.

"Mondigliani" He answers. I stare. "What sort of surname is that?" I ask. "Yes yes, I know. Lucifer Mondigliani isn't the best name I could have." He stares at the floor. "And you?" He asks. "Whitlock."

I reply. "So, Lucifer Mondigliani and Jared Whitlock, we make a right pair. Wouldn't you agree?" He asks.

I give a small laugh, yeah I have to admit, our names are kinda funny. "Do you have any siblings?" He asks, settling on the floor. "No." I join him. "How about you?" I ask. "I have a brother called LeeRoy and a sister called Reeve." He answers. "How old are you?" I ask. "Seventeen."

"Oh. Tell me more about you." I'm trying guys, I am.

"As you know, my name is Lucifer, I live in Princeton Street, I have a dog called Casper, I like France and my favourite colour is blue."

"Really? I would have thought black would have been your favourite." He smiles at my comment.

I'm not being mean. He's dressed in black from head to toe. Black hair, black satin shirt, black trousers, black boots, but he's got a thick silver chain around his waist. Weird.

"Cool. My turn?" I ask.

"Of course."

"I'm Jared, I live in the Cullen's Mansion, the only pet I have would be my Uncle Emmett, I like drawing and my fave colour is red."

He smiles at my part about Emmett. "Your Uncle sounds fun. Why do you like the colour red?" He asks.

Oh no. I don't know. Maybe because I'm a vampire and it looks like blood.????

"Uh, it's just a warm colour." I shrug it off. He nods. "Why would you say it's warm?" He asks.

"You are so intimidating." I say. "Ok. Fine, what about your parents. Tell me about them." He says.

"My dad's name is Jasper. My stepmother is Alice."

"And your real mother?" He asks.

"Dead." I say quickly.

His hand goes to his head. "I am so sorry, Jared."

"Don't worry, we weren't close." I shrug, though my heart burns.

"So," I clear my throat. "Do you live in Princeton Street with your parents?" I ask.

"No, I live with my boyfriend."

Boyfriend? Did he just say boyfriend. No way is he gay. He can't be.

I compose myself. "What's your boyfriend's name?" I ask.

"Hendrix."

"After the singer?" I ask.

"Maybe." He shrugs.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asks.

"No. Never have, never will."

Lucifer puts his head on the side. "Are you a lesbian, Jared?"

"Huh, what? Maybe." I settle.

"That's ok. And if you were, then that's fine. I'm here for you. Would you like to be friends?" He asks.
