Carlisle looks taken aback. He frowns, then takes a closer look at the photo. "She's a very nice looking woman but I think I'd rather someone with longer hair, and less tattoos." He says carefully choosing his words.

"Are you against lesbians, Carlisle?" I ask.
"No, of course not. I love you for who you are don't I?" He smiles and I sit on his lap.
"Good. What don't you like about her then?" I ask.
"It's not that I don't find her attractive. But if I was to marry another woman, I'd like her to have long hair." He shrugs.

"Why?" I urge.
"If my wife looked like that woman does-"
"Ruby Rose." I cut him off.
"Ok, so if my wife looked like Ruby Rose, people would probably mistake us for two men as she is quite masculine." He finishes.

"Are you against gay men, Carlisle?" My voice goes high pitch. I'm laughing inside.
"No, I'm just saying. I'd like a more feminine woman." He says. "How many women have you been with?" I lay my head on his shoulder.

"Excuse me?!"
I jump up, startled by his tone of voice. Phew, it's ok, he's smiling. I put my head back down. "I...um...how many women?" I ask again.
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you, Little Miss Nosy." He pokes my nose.

"Have you been with less than 10 women?" I ask.
"Yes Jared, I'm not King Henry the 8th!" He smiles.
"He had six wives."I inform him. "I know, I was alive during that time." He smiles.
"What? The 1500s?" I exclaim. He nods slowly. "You are very old." I pat him gently.

He nods again. "What do you think I should look for when choosing my mate?" I question.

"You need someone who will take you as you are. You shouldn't have to change for them. It's not about looks, forget that, it's about what sort of person they are. When you find the right person, I'm sure you'll know." He says.
I nod slowly. "Good looking doesn't make a person nice. They could be bad people under that pretty face." He says. I nod again.

"Carlisle?" I ask.
"Yes, Jared." He sighs.
"Have you ever tried putting marshmallows in a microwave?" I ask, #random.
He stares at me as if I've got two heads. His eyebrows shoot up. "How random are you?" He says to himself. He smiles. "Come on, shall we try it?" He stands up and starts walking to the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'm up for it. But one thing," I say.

"What?" He turns around. "If it goes wrong and we blow up the microwave, I am so blaming it on you when Rose asks me what happened!" I smile.

"Charming as ever, Jared." He smiles.
