As I sat up in bed my head hurt like hell. Kisa sat by my bed in a cozy armchair her head lolling back. A book open on her lap. She must have fallen asleep reading and watching over me. I tried to make sense of all the thoughts in my head. Why couldn't I remember anything before a few days ago?
I threw my covers off myself running my hands through my black hair. Noticing the bandage on my arm, I unraveled it. A cut was red against my pale skin. How did I get it?
My thoughts flitted back to Kaname, he was the thing I remember seeing before waking up here. Could he have something to do with it?
Whenever I tried to think of anything before a few days ago the pain in my head increased and I winced. A tear slid down my cheek. This was infuriating. Why couldn't I remember anything? I got up from my bed and my night gown fell bellow my knees. I picked up the book on Kisa's lap and the empty space with myself.
Her arms came around me even if she wasn't awake as if it was one of her first instincts to protect me. Why? What could have happened to me that made her protective over me?
Yagari had been talking about how Kaname had wanted to see me. Could he have something to do with it?
My eyes started to drift shut even though my mind was still racing and I soon fell asleep curled up with Kisa's arms around me...
