Umi strolled happily next to me as we made our way to Ethics. To be honest, I didn't know how she could even be so happy about such a bleak subject. Luckily, this was the last lesson of the day so I would be able to go to my room and sleep after.
It seemed as though Zero had disappeared, I had asked Yuki and even she didn't know where he was. Strange.
Umi's shoes made a faint tapping sound as we stepped onto the wood floor of the Ethics classroom. When I looked up, instead of the usual Ethics teacher Yagari stood behind the desk. I narrowed my eyes. The Vampire Hunter association did work fast, I should have known this by now but except for my training Kisa didn't let me out of the house.
"Miss Akari could you please care to move, you're holding up at least half the class?" Yagari's husky voice sounded from the teacher's desk. My cheeks heated as I found and sat down in my seat.
Glancing to the left I caught sight of Arima. He looked uncomfortable as he shuffled through his school papers. I small blush crept over his cheeks as he noticed I was looking at him. Arima scooched further away from me.

"Miss Akari can you please stay after class, other than her, the rest of you are dismissed. The quite sound of shoes hitting the floor echoed around the large classroom. I packed my books into my bag and slung it onto my shoulder as I walked over to Yagari.
"It's been a while since I last saw you kid," He ruffled my hair after lighting a cigarette. Wrinkling my nose slightly at the scent of smoke I tried to fix my hair. "How have you been?"
"Tired," I huffed as my hair refused to stay in place. Yagari glanced down to my neck where the top button of my shirt was undone. I hadn't liked things around my neck since... well not since...
"It's still bad, huh kid?" I nodded my head slightly.
"Why didn't you help me?" I looked up at him, I noticed his eyes softening ever so slightly.
"I couldn't, I'm sorry kid." Yagari turned his back on me.
