This time it was my turn to sit next to Umi as she lay in the infirmary bed. Nurse Matsubara had placed a glass of some sort of healing liquid on the bedside for Umi to drink when she woke up. Is this what Umi had felt like when she had to sit and look at me after finding me on the bathroom floor. Gods, that felt like an age ago. So much has changed since then for me, but barely anything has for Umi...

Ever since the Kaito incident I decided it would be safer for me to just lean against trees instead of sitting on them. The setting sun cast an almost orange glow on the scene in front of me. As I heard the metal gates to the Moon dorm creak and the delighted screams of Day class girls I rushed to the front and blocked their way from getting to the night class students. However as I looked behind me Kaname wasn't walking at the front of them today. Only after screams had died down and most of the students left did I see him at the back of them, a book in his hands. Seeing an opportunity I took it.
"Kaname-senpai?" I asked.
"Yes," Kaname didn't turn around, in fact he didn't even stop walking.
"You don't know anything about what Umi was shouting about the other yesterday right?" I raised an eyebrow.
"No I do not," Kaname kept fixed to his book. I had to almost jog to keep up with his long strides.
"I want to find the other girl that the Brotherhood is looking for, I want to meet her," Kaname froze, his eyes flicking to me.
"I would advise against that," Kaname started walking again.
"And why is that?"
"Because then you would further prove that you are an innocent hooligan."
