I sat at my desk, carefully dragging my brush through my black hair. To be honest, there were times in which I wanted to rip all of it out.To my knowledge of what was going on Kaito had agreed to come to this school and assume the role of a teacher much like Yagari. But why, I will never know. He must have been mentally limited at the time of making the decision. The bad part was that I didn't know when he was coming. I needed at least half an hour to mentally prepare before I meet him again so I don't punch him in his arrogant little face.

Bed sheets rustled behind me as Umi said," I think it's time for you to go on patrol now Onee-San."

"Onee-San," I scoffed, placing my hairbrush on the desk and spinning around to face her, one eyebrow raised.

"Oh- Sorry, I guess you've been acting like my older sister since I've met you really. It just slipped out," Umi smiled sheepishly.

"You have an older sister?"

"Oh yeah, I just don't really see her much, well not since..." Umi trailed.

"You don't have to talk about if you don't want to," I gave her a comforting smile, or my best attempt at one. "I guess I better get going, see you in the morning."

I swung my legs back and forth as I perched in a tree, enjoying the cool breeze on my hot skin. Yuki and Zero had gone to patrol the inside of the school for a while, leaving me out here alone, just how I liked it.

"Why hello there ~" A deep voice said from behind me, elongating each syllable. I swore. Did no one see the need to tell me that he was bloody coming today. "Not a very good use of your time just sitting up there in a tree when you should be on patrol."

"Why are you out here this late asshole?" I jumped down from the tree branch to face Kaito, my arms crossed.

"Hmmmm? What, you can't say it like that, I was curious and you looked sooooo lonely out here so I thought I come say hello to you after all these years."

"I would have preferred that you hadn't taken the time to," I smiled at him in a bittersweet manor. I took a few steps closer to him but I had to crane my neck to look at him, more so than I had to with Zero.

"Nice to see after all these years that you're still shorter than me," he held a hand over my head.

"I'm only a few inches shorter than Zero so that means your calling him short to-"

"Yes, I am." Kaito pulled his hand back to his side. "Well seen as you aren't doing anything, lets see how fast you can run." He drew a thin dagger from a sheath at his hip.

Zero stood, staring out the window at the two idiots who ran around outside. Kaito ran after Akari, laughing, a dagger raised above his head as if he was ready to bring it down into flesh at any moment. Akari however ran only a few meters in front of him, her hands over her head as she tried not to fall over. Yuki crept up next to him and glanced out the window as well. She raised her hand. "Yes?"

"Question, what are they doing?" She pointed out the window to Akari and Kaito who were now wrestling each other in the grass, Akari trying to grab the dagger.

"I don't even know honestly."

"Well, you wanna watch them until they tier themselves out?"

"Sure."
