I flailed my arms, trying to get Zero of me. Managing to grab onto his blazer, I tore him away from me. Fear made my heart almost explode out of my chest. Blood trickled steadily down my neck and stained my shirt. Zero took one last look at me before he took off down the corridor once again. I tried to stem the blood flowing from my neck, holding my sleeve to it. Now I would have to go back to that damned infirmary.

Nurse Matsubara carefully cleaned the bite on my neck, her brows knotted in concentration. She was a vampire hunter as well, so she had likely had to deal with these sorts of injuries before. The bad part was that this would all be reported back to the president and Kisa.

I flinched at the thought making Matsubara look up at me, lowering the cloth she had used to clean the bite.

"I didn't hurt you, did I? A concerned look crossed over her face.

"No, no I'm fine." That was a lie. I was still in shock over what had happened. How could Zero, my Zero be a vampire, the one thing he hated most.

"You might want to stay the night in here," Matsubara placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled gently, " I doubt you want to trail all the way back to your dorm at this time of night. I'll leave the door unlocked and come check up on you in the morning. Goodnight. " Matsubara waved goodbye and closed the infirmary door behind herself.

I pulled off my blazer and all of the buttons on my shirt. Sliding my skirt down my legs, I pulled on the oversized shirt that Matsubara had left me. The bedsheets were soft as I sild in between them. Leaning back against the headboard I sighed.

When I opened my eyes again Kaname was standing at the foot of the infirmary bed. I had gotten more used to him showing up out of nowhere but it still made me draw in a sharp breath.

He didn't say anything just sat down on the side of the bed next to me. As his fingers slid over the bite marks on my neck, they gathered blood. Pulling his hand back towards him, Kaname stared down at his bloody fingers. His eyes darkened.
