Sweet ~9 (S1)

"I'm so sorry!" Umi blabbered as I cleaned up the cut on my cheek it was almost parallel with my cheekbone, impressively so even.

"Honestly, it's fine," I said for what seemed like the 100th time. Pressing a bandage onto the cut I turned back to Umi. "Now what do you not do when there is a sharp object?"

"You don't wave around recklessly," she rubbed the back of her neck. Seriously, how had this girl survived this long. How had she not been picked of by natural selection yet.

"I have to get going for my patrol and while I'm gone please tidy up this mess," I gestured around the room. I had left it in such pristine condition earlier so how it had become this messy this quickly I didn't know.

Sliding the katana back into it's sheath, I sighed and walked out for patrol.

"Why are you late? Zero asked, raising an eyebrow as I ran towards him and Yuki.

"The person I'm sharing a room with, she's practically a child in a teenagers body," I rolled my eyes. "This is going to be a long night."

Yuki had split up from me and Zero a while ago to patrol around the other side of the school. I had decided earlier to not put a plaster on the cut wound on my cheek as it would be better if I let the air get to it.

"Zero, I'm tired," I moaned, almost dragging my feet forward.

"Honestly Akari, it's been half an hour. We have more than four hours left on this patrol. You better not be like this for the rest of tonight or your going to have to patrol with Yuki tomorrow," Zero sighed.

"Can you carry me~" I smiled sweetly at him but his face didn't shift.

"Fine," he groaned," but you better not complain about anything for the rest of tonight.

I stirred from my sleep at Zero came to an abrupt stop. "Hmmm, Zero? What's wrong?" I asked raising my head from of his shoulder.

"It's nothing you can go back to sleep." He started to walk again. I felt something hot trickle down my cheek. Realising that my blood might have gotten on Zero's blazer, I tried to look for any stains on his shoulder but there weren't any. There wasn't anywhere that I could really wipe my cheek without the blood staining it so I guessed it would just have to wait.

"Stop moving or I'm going to drop you," Zero said, loosening his grip on my legs so I could possibly fall.

"Zero!" I hit him on the head with my hand.

The scent of blood thickened in the air, making the Night Class restless. Why did it have to be so sweet? It was even making Kaname uncomfortable. The smell was so intoxicating because it was her blood...
