When I woke up I was lying on a scratchy rug. I remembered it, it was the one that was in my bedroom. My favorite thing to do used to be was complain about it because yes.
Sitting up, I looked around my childhood bedroom. It was a carbon copy of the room I had seven years ago, even my little china tea set sat on my bedside table, a doll who seemed to have a cup handle pushed into its hand sat next it.
From far away I heard a door open and slam shut and the sound of footsteps walking briskly up the hallway. Wait couple these people see me, it was just a memory right? Kisa burst into the room dragging a small long-haired me behind her.
"I thought I said that you weren't to go outside," Kisa seethed, one of her hands held onto some of my hair. Oh please don't say I have to watch this part. "It's one of the few rules I have while you live here. You have everything you could possibly want inside this house, what more could you want?!"
I wanted to run away, to not have to watch but it was as though my feet were glued to the floor. I want to get away from her. Kisa's handed reached slowly for my neck.
I bolted for the door only to run right into Kaname's chest. "Move out the way!" My voice broke as I tried to push past him but he did not move.
"No-" Younger me shrieked from behind me. China smashing as it the ground rang
"I don't want to see this please-" Tears stared to form in my eyes blurring my vision.
Kaname finally moved but it was only to push me and him out of the way of memory Yagari who came running in through the door.
"I heard a shout," Yagari's deep voice said and he came to a halt in front of Kisa. When I looked back at the scene Kisa's hand was no longer at my throat, no it was at my arm, helping me up and keeping me away from the shattered tea set.
"It's fine, Akari just fell over and I was helping her up," she smiled sweetly at Yagari as she dusted me off, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. "You really need to stop being so clumsy," she kissed small me on the nose and I winced turning back around to find Kaname was gone.
A wall of dizziness hit me and I fell to ground. I wanted to be sick. I wanted to scream. My eyes closed but when they opened again I was in the Moon dorm. Kaname sat on the couch in front of me still.
I pulled myself up to my feet so I was looking down on him. My skin felt feverish and cold sweat trickled down my forehead.
"Did any other incidents like that happen after?" His eyes met mine and he had to have seen the seething anger within them as he stood up, prepared to act if I did anything rash.
"Yes," I began to stumble away from him, towards the door. Gods, I needed fresh air.
"Interesting." I stopped in my tracks and twisted back around to him. Stumbling back towards him I looked him right in the eye. Why could I not read his expression? How could he do something like that to someone without caring? I raised my hand. It was because he was a pureblood. Soulless bastards, that was all they were. I sucked in breath just as my hand collided with his face.
