I whipped around, katana poised, my breathing ragged. Seiren stood with her hands up, a look on hair face as if she had confirmed something. I narrowed my eyes, the katana still near her neck until I slowly sheathed it. Striding of down the side of the academy I tried to calm my breathing. The almost silent footsteps of Seiren followed me making sure I knew she was there. As I turned the corner of the building I saw Yuki sleeping on a bench Zero sitting opposite on another bench, his eyes closing. An idea crossed my mind and I smiled to myself. Looking back at Seiren I whispered," You might want to cover your ears."

Taking wide steps towards the two of them so I was standing in between them. Coughing slightly to clear my throat I prepared myself and then let out a blood-curdling scream.

"Akari!" Zero leapt up from the bench, hurling himself forwards until he reached me and held onto me like his life depended on it.

"Zero, chill, I can't breathe," I choked out trying to pry him off me my heartbeat racing. Once he realised I was fine he let go of me quickly, walking back to the bench until he realised Seiren was there.

Yuki's reaction to my scream was much less noticeable however, she had still fallen off of the bench and was rubbing her arm, which she had fallen onto sourly.

Seiren and Zero had somehow gotten into a staring contest. At this point I swear Zero has thing for staring contests even though he's shit at them. I was about to get my popcorn out when Seiren broke eye contact scoffing and her glaze slid to me.

"What?" I looked from side to side, I didn't have something on my face did I?

"Nothing, it's just funny to watch your reaction," Seiren grabbed my wrist," Come on, I have to take you somewhere."

As Seiren started to drag me of turned back and shouted," By then I guess, and Yuki you have gravel in your hair!" Just as I was about to turn back I noticed Zero who was looking absentmindedly at the woods, which surrounded the perimeter of the academy, his skin was sickly pale. He better be taking care of himself. Eh, I'll go annoy him just when he's going to fall asleep.

I only realised where Seiren had been taking me until we were right outside the moon dorm's gates. "Does Kaname want to see me or something?" I groaned. Seiren stayed silent but her grip tightened on my hand in an almost comforting way. As it was the night most of the night class were in lessons right now however when we stepped inside the moon dorm Kaname was sat in one of the large couches, his back mostly to the door.

"I brought her," Seiren said in a deadpan voice before letting go of my hand with one more reassuring squeeze.

Walking over to him I asked," What do you want this time?" I came to a stop in front of the chair. Kaname's brown eye flicked over to me.

"Come closer," His voice was soft, as if trying to coax me into doing something I didn't want to do, which was exactly what was going on.

"Now you sound creepy," I crossed my arms. Kaname frowned slightly and gave me a look which said he didn't appreciate my comments, which was frankly very rude.

I sat down next to him on couch sighing. He placed his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. Sure would be nice to be able to turn into a plank of wood right about now. But one weird thing I noticed as relax slightly was that his chest didn't move with breaths. Well I guess if you have absolute immortality you don't really have to bother with breathing to stay alive.

Kaname's hand moved to my head and slowly it felt as though someone was trying to look into my mind, trying to push past the mental barriers I had made. However the more I tried to resist a pain in my head grew and grew until I grasped my head in my hands. I couldn't let him see those memories, anything but them. I tried to stand up, to walk but I just ended up falling over. The last thing I saw before my vision turned to black was Kaname. Stupid Kaname...
