The mirror next to me shattered sending glass shards cascading onto the ground as I pulled my hand back. Despite this show of anger, Kaname's face stayed the same. Swinging around to face the door I stalked out of the moon dorm. Seiren was no where to be found, maybe she'd slipped away while Kaname invaded my mind. It wasn't like it was a book for him to peruse when he wanted.
I wanted to punch something. No. I needed to punch something. The unfortunate victim was a tree that I usually liked to sit in. Drawing my fist back I gathered all of my anger and I propelled it forward with all the strength I could muster. A dent in the bark was the only thing I managed to due to it fortunately. However my hand was in worst shape. My knuckles were now bleeding but I had to ignore it so I could continue my rage filled rampage.
Luckily I had managed to mostly calm down by the time I got to the Sun dorms. A sickly feeling was starting to return to me. I made a B-line for Zero's room and burst in not caring to knock.
"WAKE UP, I'M SORTA PISSED AND DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT BUT NOW YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME IN A BAD MOOD," I shouted but I came across a fully awake Zero who was just sitting on his bed looking down at the ground, his eyes glazed over. He only came back to reality after I'd hit him on the head.
"What are you having a deep philosophical crisis about?" I asked as I crouched down in front of him. He still looked feverish. Great now both of us were in a sickly daze where neither could make proper decisions.
"Your scream earlier, it...it just reminded me when you were staying with me after what happened to Ichiru. When you were having those nightmares but you wouldn't tell me what was happening in them. When you would wake up screaming." With Zero so visibly shook up I took his hands in mine and squeezed them.
"You really don't have to worry about me so much you idiot," I gave him a sad smile. "Look now I'm the one comforting you despite me being pissed. Come here." I pulled him into a hug, it wasn't a normal hug though, it was one of those hugs that seemed to protect you from all harm for at least a moment. Where you feel protected, safe and warm.
Kisa had taught me how to give hugs like this.
