"Come on," Seiren's face stayed calm. I didn't know how she could be so nonchalant in this sought of situation. I took her hand and she pulled me out of the carriage and helped me up onto the boot of the carriage. "We have to go before word of you not arriving travels and a search party is sent out." She snapped the reins and the horses started to gallop.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked wrapping my arms around myself. Despite the long sleeves of my dress, it did not keep out the cold chill of the wind.

"Lord Kuran asked me to keep an eye on you," Seiren kept her eyes on the road ahead.

"But why would he ask for-"

"Look, I don't know why he would but he did and that's why I'm here." She didn't say anything else for the rest of the ride.

The carriage raced through the academy gates and came to a sudden stop, Seiren tugging on the horse's reins so hard that they reared onto their back legs. I held onto my seat, trying to steady myself. Seiren jumped down and I followed after her. Zero stood outside the halls doors which were not too far from us. His eyes widened and he ran over to us as Seiren grabbed my wrist and started dragging me towards the Moon dorms. Zero tried to grab my other wrist but Seiren pulled me away from him.

"Stay back," Seiren hissed," Lord Kuran gave specific orders that no one but I was supposed to come near her.

"Damn 'Lord Kuran's' orders, she's going to the headmaster so he can send orders to the Vampire Hunter Association."

I sat in the Headmaster's office holding onto a hot cup of tea the the Headmaster had made himself. I don't know how but Zero had managed to drag me all the way to the office. Seiren had followed us, insisting that she keep me in her sight. She stood in the corner of the room figiting, her eyes darting around as if searching for danger that could appear at any moment. Zero sat next to me looking uneasy.

"I sent word to the Vampire Hunter Association. They will probably want to ask you questions about what happened but I can't tall for certain wether they'll tell Kisa or not," Headmaster Cross sat in the armchair across from me and Zero. My face drained of colour. If Kisa was told what happened she might-

"Still doesn't explain what was up with that Arima guy and who 'The Duchess' is," Zero cut of my thoughts, huffing. A knock sounded from the door and Kaname stepped into the room. "Seiren you can go back to the Moon dorms now, I need to speak to the Headmaster in private," He said. As Zero and I stood up to leave as well I caught his gaze and quickly looked away.

"Here," Zero said pulling of his jacket and wrapping it around me as we walked back to the Sun dorms. Most of the Day class students had already walked back to their rooms so many lights were on from inside the building. Zero caught me looking at him.

"What?"

"You just looked like Ichiru for a second then, but if that sounds weird just ignore what I said." I gave him a sad smile before pulling him into the shade of one of the large trees.

"What are you doing?" I moved my hair away from my neck and adjusted the neckline of the dress.

"You can take some, it's been two days."

"You can't keep doing this."

"I can, just be careful not to get any on the dress, I doubt Kaname would think kindly of it." Zero sighed leaning closer to me. The shadow of the tree concealed me and Zero so if there were any students walking around at this time they wouldn't be able to see what was happening. Zero's fangs pierced my skin and I sucked in a breath but unlike last time it seemed frantic, full of need like someone who was addicted...
