Avu: Jiju, mujhe operation ke liye jaana hai. Operation hote hi aapko phone kar dungi, uske baad ghar ja sakte hai. [Jiju, I have to go for operation. I'll call you after that and we can go home.]
Abhi: Ok.
Avu rushed to the operation room taking her coat, gloves and mask, wearing them on the way to the room. Meanwhile Abhi also left for the place he had to go. After the operation:
Avu came out but didn't look as happy as always when she did an operation. There were even some tears in her eyes which she blinked back. After talking with the family of the patient she collected her things from her cabin after removing the gloves, mask and coat and called Abhi. He picked it up on first ring itself as he had just exited the place he was in and was about to call her.
Avu: Jiju, apka kaam ho gaya? [Jiju, is your work done?]
Abhi: Ha, par tu itni udaas kyu lag rahi hai? [Yes, but why do you sound so sad?]
Avu: Aisa kuch nahi hai. [There is nothing like that.]
Abhi: Pakka? Kuch hai jo bolna chahti ho toh bol de. [Are you sure? If there is something that you want to say you can tell me.]
It felt weird to him talking like this with her, earlier he was like an elder brother to her so she would go to him first if there was anything she had to speak.
Avu: Mai gaadi mein batati hu. [I'll say in the car.]
Abhi: Ok.
They ended the call and met near Abhi's car, leaving Avu's there only. Once they sat inside the car,
Abhi: Ab bata kya hua? [Now say what happened.]
Avu's eyes were again filled with tears but instead of controlling them she let them flow this time as Abhi hugged her.
Avu: Abhi ek lady ka operation kiya tha maine, unka accident ho gaya tha. Wo ab bilkul thik hai par wo pregnant thi, ye baat na use pata thi na uske ghar walo ko. Uska miscarriage ho gaya aur mai use bata bhi nahi payi ye baat. Uske ghar waale itne khush the wo thik hai sun kar, bache ka pata chalne par unke chahro ko dekhna bhi mushkil tha. Aise mein meri himmat toot gayi, us maa ki kya haalat hoti ye pata chalne par ki usne apna bacha kho diya? Unke pati unhe ye baat batane gaye tab mai nikal gayi waha se. [Bhai, I had done a lady's operation now, she had an accident. She is completely fine now but she was pregnant, neither she nor her family members knew of it. She faced miscarriage and I couldn't even tell her this. Her family was so happy knowing she is fine, it was difficult to even look at their faces when they found out about the child. My courage broke, what would be that mother's condition upon knowing that she lost her child? When her husband went to tell her this I left from there.]
Abhi was shocked hearing this. He didn't know what to say so he just tried to comfort her by caressing her hair. Once she calmed down they pulled apart and Abhi started driving. The entire way they were silent, Abhi had no idea what to say or do while Avu was lost in thoughts. After sometime they reached Abhi's home. Both of them got shocked as soon as they entered the house.
