They both smiled when they saw us coming in.
Vaish: How did the proposal go?
Ash: Sid ab mere official jiju hai. [Sid is officially my brother-in-law now.]
I and Sid looked at each other, not wanting to take out the topic of the attack until they mention it.
Avu: Proposal bahut cute tha. Aur ha Ash, Sid ab tere jiju hai. Mai mummy pap ko batake aati hu. [Proposal was very cute. And yes Ash, Sid is your brother in law now. I'll inform mom dad also.]
Sid: Avu, wo dono pehle se jante hai. Kuch der mein tera bhai aane wala hai. Use bhi pata hai. [Avu, they already know. In sometime your brother will come. Even he knows.]
Just then the bell rang.
Avu: Bandar ka naam liya, aur woh uchalta khudta pahuch gaya. [We took monkey's name and he came while jumping around.]
All laughed at that, and even Sana laughed looking at them. I went downstairs and opened the door, and Sana looked at Jai with head tilted.
Avu: Yeh aapki mummy ke bhai, yaani aapke maama hai. [He is your my brother, your maama.]
She smiled, spreading her hands towards Jai, who immediately took her, with a huge smile.
Jai: Tune ha bola? [You said yes?]
Avu: Ab Sana ko mana kaise kar sakti thi. [How can I deny Sana?]
Sid: Acha, aur Sana ke papa ko? [Oh, and Sana's father?]
He asked coming from behind.
Avu: Unko kar deti, agar unse pyaar nahi karti. [I would have if I wouldn't have loved him.]
Jai: Congrats jiju.
Vaish: Avu, tu toh ab meri dewrani hai. [Avu, now you are my sister-in law.]
Avu: Ha.
We all went inside.
Avu: Jai, meri bhabhi kidhar hai? [Jai, where is my sister-in-law?]
He blushed at that, making me laugh.
Ash: Chalo, tu toh blush karta hai. Teri behen aur jiju ko blush karte nahi dekha hai maine kabhi. [At least you blush. I have never seen your sister and brother-in-law blush.]
Vaish: Relationship mein kayi baar suna hai ki ek jana toh sharmata hi hai, yaha toh banchari hai, unique creatures. [I've heard at least one person in a relationship is shy one, but here its banchari, unique creates.]
Sidneet: Banchari?
Vaish: Bandar and nakchadi.
We both laughed at that.
Avu: Wah, kya ship name nikala hai, banchari. Bahut unique aur cute hai. [Wow, what a ship name, banchari. Its so cute and unique.]
Sid: Par Sidneet zyada acha hai. [But I like Sidneet better.]
They all looked at us like we are aliens.
Jai: Pehli baar koyi apne hi ship names ki taarif kar raha hai. [First time someone is praising their own ship names.]
Avu: Arre tum sab ne topic hi badal diya. Reem kaha hai? [You all changed the topic only. Where is Reem?]
Jai: Wo nahi aa payegi. Wo apni family ke saath bahar gayi hai. [She won't be able to come. She has gone out with her family.]
Avi: Oh. Vaishu di, Vaishvik kaisa hai? [Oh. Vaishu di, how is Vaishvik?]
Vaish: Wo acha hai. Mai aur Abhi uske first words ka wait kar rahe hai. Sana ke first words toh sun liye hai. [He is good. I and Abhi are waiting for his first words. We have heard Sana's first words.]
Avi: Jald hi bol dega. [Soon he will say.]
Vaish: Hmm. Afterall 3 hafte chota hi hai Sana se. [Hmm. After all he is 3 weeks younger only.]
Jai: Sana badi hai? [Sana is elder?]
Avu: Ha, tujhe nahi pata tha? [Yes, you didn't know?]
Vaish: Avu, tune kisi ko nahi bataya. Mujhe bhi tab pata chala jab tu Vaishvik ko uski badi behen ke baare mein bata rahi thi us din. [Avu, you haven't said anyone. Even I got to know when you were telling Vaishvik about his sister that day.]
Avu: Oh.
Sid: Par tu ghar layi tab toh... [But when you got her home...]
Avu: Sana ko teen hafto tak kuch medical complications ki wajah se hospital mein hi rakha tha. [Sana was kept in hospital for three weeks due to some medical issues.]
Sid: Oh.
Ash: Tum dono kya tabse oh oh bol rahe ho? [Why are you both saying oh from that time?]
Sid: Toh aur kya bole? Acha mai batana hi bhool gaya, Avu agle hafte tere mummy papa aa rahe hai. Aur pooch rahe the ki hume shadi kab karni hai? [What else do we say? I forgot to tell, Avu next week your parents are coming. And were asking when do we want to marry?]
Avu: Mai toh shadi ke liye tayar hu. Kuch mahino mein kar sakte hai. [I am ready for marriage. We can marry in few months.]
Sid: Thik hai. Mujhe bhi woh chalega. Mai maa ko bata dunga, aur wo sab baat kar lenge. [Ok. Even I am fine with that. I'll inform maa and they will talk about all that.]
We all talked for sometime before going to sleep. Sana with me, Vaishu di with Ash and Jai with Sid. I fell asleep, unknown to the huge twist my life was about to take, actually twists.
End of POV.
Within few days, Sidneet's marriage was fixed for after two months. Everyone was very happy and excited for the marriage. Two months later:
All the preparations were done. Today was the engagement ceremony and and all were ready. But Sid was lost in his thoughts about Avu.
Sid's POV:
I have noticed Avu has changed a bit. And I feel that she is hiding something. But what? I know the day we get married, she will reveal her secrets, like she had promised. I can't wait for that night. Luckily there was no other attack after the one when I proposed. Sana is also growing up, and can walk now, though not for too long. Just then Abhi bhai came and we went outside. I went and sat. Soon Avu also came, and I stared at her. She looked very beautiful. She looked towards me, and I could see her checking me out as well. We both smiled at each other, and then exchanged the rings. Just then Sana came to the stage after jumping from Vaishu di lap. She is a very strong girl. Just like we call her, our little fighter.
