Stubborn (Chapter 48)

After some argument and emotional blackmail, bhai finally agreed. The bell rang and he went to open the door. After sometime he came back. 

Avu: Aap guest room mein change karlo. [You can change in the guest room.]

I said him the way to it. Vaishu di texted me that all the arrangements are done. Only few things are left, we have to reach in half an hour. Abhi bhai came back after 10 minutes. 

Avu: Jiju, 20 minutes mein pahuchna hai. [Jiju, we have to reach in twenty minutes.]

Abhi: Ok. Waise tera dusra sawal kya tha? [Ok. What was your second question?]

Avu: Kuch nahi, chodo. Mai kuch ka kuch sochti rehti hu. [It's nothing, leave it. I keep thinking some nonsense.]

Abhi: Ab baat kya hai toh nahi pata, lekin agar tujhe pareshan kar rahi hai toh puch sakti hai, chinta mat kar mai kuch nahi sochunga. [I don't know what it is, but if it is troubling you you can ask me, don't worry I won't judge.]

Avu: Uh woh actually mujhe puchna tha. Mai Ash ko hamesha bachi ki tarah treat karti hu behen se zyada, jisme hum dono ko koyi problem nahi hai. Par kabhi kabhi mai usse return mein kuch expect karti hu. Jaise ki wo kahi bhi jaaye toh kam se kam ye bolke jaaye ki kitni der baad aayegi, ya koyi bhi baat ho, achi ya buri, woh mujhe bataye. Aaj jab Vishnoor bina bye bole gaye, mujhe aisa feel hua ki mai subah se bhag rahi hu uska kaam karne ko, aur jaate wakt unhone meri taraf dekha bhi nahi. Mujhe itni si baat par ghusa aane laga. [Uh I wanted to ask. I always treat Ash as a child more than sister, which none of us have a problem in. But sometimes I expect things from her. Like if she goes somewhere she informs by when will she be back, or if there is anything, good or bad, she tells me. Today when Vishnoor went without saying bye, I felt like I am running around since morning doing all the work and while going they didn't even look at me. I felt angry at such a small thing.]

Abhi: Avu, usme kuch galat nahi hai. Tu aur Ash same age ke ho, phir bhi tumne uski responsibility li jab uncle aunty nahi hai idhar. Hum sab bhale hi mazak mein tujhe mummy bolte hai, par Ash ke liye tu jo karti hai, uske baad agar tu usse aisa kuch expect kare, toh usme kuch galat nahi hai. Tu kuch bada nahi maang rahi hai, aur agar wo dono nikal gaye bina tujhe dekhe, tu ghussa ho sakti hai. [Avu, there is nothing wrong in that. Despite you and Ash being of same age you took her responsibility in absence of uncle aunty. We all might call you mummy jokingly, but what you do for Ash, after that you can expect things from her, nothing wrong in that. And you aren't asking for something big, and if they ignored your presence, you can be angry.]

Avu: Par unki koyi galti nahi thi. Wo sirf excited the. [But it wasn't their fault, they were just excited.]

Abhi: Ha, un dono ki galti nahi thi, aur teri bhi nahi. [Yes, it wasn't their fault, neither was it yours.]

Avu: Ok. 

After that we went to his car. We reached his home in fifteen- twenty minutes. But I had to tie a cloth on his eyes which he was't agreeing for as he had to support me to walk. We were arguing when Sid came there after parking his bike.
