Chapter 45

Avu: Tu kisi aur se hi baat kar raha tha. Acha sun, abhi thoda busy hu, baad mein baat karungi.  [You were talking to someone else only. Ok listen, I'm a bit busy right now, I'll talk to you later.]

With that I kept my phone aside. There was nothing to do. Abhi bhai also looked bored. My phone rang again, it was Mallika. 

Sumedh: Hello. 

Avu: Tum dono kabhi khudka phone bhi use karte ho? [Do you both ever use your own phone?]

Sumedh: Wo sab chod, yaha hospital mein koyi Randeep aaya hai, tere baare mein puch raha hai. [Leave all that, some Randeep had come here in the hospital, asking about you.]

I covered the speaker turning to Abhi bhai. 

Avu: Jiju, Randeep mere hospital mein hai, bol raha hai use mujhse kuch baat karni hai. [Jiju, Randeep is in my hospital, saying he wants to talk to me.]

Abhi: Phone speaker par daal aur usse baat kar. [Put the phone on speaker and talk to him.]

I uncovered the speaker. 

Avu: Sumedh, phone Randeep ko de. [Sumedh, give the phone to Randeep.]

Randeep: Hello. 

Avu: Hello. Tumhe kya chahiye Randeep? [Hello. What do you want Randeep?]

Randeep: Meri behen ka badla. [My sister's revenge.]

Avu: Randeep, hum jaante hai ki tum apni behen se bahut pyaar karte ho, par humari bhi sunlo ek baar. Woh teeno uske dost the, toh usko kyu pareshan karenge itna? [Randeep, we know how much you love your sister, but listen to us also once. They three were her friends, why would they hurt her?]

Randeep: Lagta hai Abhishek ne tujhe bhi woh sab bola hai. Par mai apni behen ka badla lunga, tum sabse. [Looks like Abhishek has told you all that. But I will take revenge, from all of you.]

He was about to continue but the call ended. I looked at Abhi bhai. We both didn't want to talk about it. I got up to go and drink some water forgetting about my injury. As soon as my injured foot touched the ground I jumped in pain and fell back on the sofa. 

Abhi: Kidhar ja rahi thi? [Where were you going?]

Avu: Kitchen, pani peene. [Kitchen, to drink water.]

Abhi: Mai madad karu? [Shall I help?]

I agreed and stood up with his support. We went to the kitchen and he helped me sit on the counter before giving me a glass of water. I sat there only, pulling my legs up, not wanting to trouble him by asking him to help me walk again. We both were busy with our mobiles when the doorbell rang startling me, causing me to fall, but luckily not down the counter. Abhi bhai came back to the kitchen with Vishnoor. 

Ash: Avu, itne ajeeb tarike se kyu baithi hai counter pe? [Avu, why are you sitting like that?] 

I realized I was still in the position I had fallen in, so I sat straight. 

Avu: Wo mera per mud gaya hai toh upar baithi thi, gir gayi. [My leg had twisted so I sat on the counter, but fell.]

Ash: Kya hua, kaise muda per? [How did your leg twist?]

Avu: Siddiyon mein gir gayi, par zyada nahi lagi bhai ne pakad liya tha isliye. Tum dono yaha itni jaldi kaise? [I just fell in stairs, but didn't get much hurt as bhai had caught me. Why are you both back so early?]
