I woke up in a room and immediately saw brightness. I blinked rapidly and then looked around to see two people talking. I recognized one as Sid, the other was a doctor, he was saying something to Sid, but I couldn't hear.
Avu: Sid?
They immediately looked at me and Sid looked relieved. Suddenly I heard Sana cry, she must have woken up. I turned to my left, but she wasn't there. Sid rushed outside the room. Soon he came back with Sana who had stopped crying.
D: Avneet Kaur right?
Avu: Yeah.
D: Mr. Nigam said me you had memory loss around two-three years back. Before that where were you?
Avu: I was in Mumbai during the accident. But after that I had gone to Chandigarh with my parents, and returned around 9 months back.
D: Ok, so you are having flashbacks because of the familiarity with the place, and maybe few people also. You have a chance of gaining your memory back, but it will take months, or maybe a year or two, I'm not sure about that. And I prefer you having some company, as it won't be safe for you and your daughter if you pass out again, or don't feel well. But not with many, it might add stress.
Avu: Ok.
D: I'll take my leave now. About the medications, I have already discussed with Mr. Nigam.
I nodded and he left. Sid came and gave Sana to me.
End of POV.
Sid: Are you fine now?
Avu: Yeah I am fine, but have I met you before also? I mean today I heard your voice in my flashback, and it's first time I heard some voice, though it's still very blurry.
Sid: Avu, abhi zyada stress nahi lena hai. Yeh sab baadme sochna. Aur tum company ka kya karogi? Humare ghar shift ho sakti ho. [Avu, you aren't supposed to stress much now. Think all this later. What will you do about company? You can shift with us.]
Avu: Nahi, Noor ka kya phir? Aur waha pehle hi tum panch ho. [No, what about Noor then? And you are already five there.]
Sid: Acha, toh mai yaha shift ho jau? [Oh, then shall I shift here?]
Avu: Par... [But...]
Sid: Par kya? [But what?]
Avu: Yaha comfortable hoga tumhe, aur un sab ke bina idhar rahoge? [Will you be comfortable here, and will be able to live without them?]
Sid: Mujhe koyi problem nahi hogi. Tu comfortable ho jitne mai yaha reh sakta hu. [I won't have any problem. I can stay here if you are comfortable.]
Avu: Thik hai. [Ok.]
Sid: Mai maa ko phone karke bata deta hu, tu thodi der soja. Sana ke khaane mein time hai, aur time se khila dunga use. Aur mana karne ki koshish bhi mat karna, mai nahi sunne wala hu. [I'll call mom and inform her, you sleep for sometime. There is time for Sana to have her next meal and I will feed her on time. And don't try to deny, I won't listen.]
Avu: Thik hai. [Ok.]
She slept while Sid took Sana, kissed Avu on forehead, making her smile in sleep, before going out. He called Vibha and informed her about everything the doctor said and about him staying there. She was completely fine with it. Also, Sid was planning on proposing her. He was now sure she loved him back. Though she hid it well usually he knew, all this was stressing her more than anyone was thinking. He looked at Sana who was pulling his shirt's collar to gain his attention.
Sid: Kya hua? [What happened?]
He asked in a baby voice, causing her to giggle.
Sana: Ma ma ma ma.
Sid: Maa so rahi hai, baadme jayege. [Mom is sleeping, we'll go later.]
He tickled her stomach, and she started giggling. He then went to a guest room, which was downstairs only. He placed Sana on the bed, as he took his phone, calling Vaish.
Vaish: Hello Sid, maa ne bataya tu udhar rukh raha hai? [Hi Sid, maa said you're staying there?]
Sid: Ha. Acha di, mai Avu ko propose karne wala hu parso. Aapki thodi help chahiye thi. [Yes. Sister, I am proposing Avu day after tomorrow. I need your help.]
Vaish: Finally, mai zarur help karungi. [Finally, I'll surely help you.]
He started explaining his plan, but stopped when he saw Sana crawling towards the end of the bed, the pillows he had arranged on floor. He went and picked her up. Then he continued explaining his plan.
Vaish: Ok. Acha idea hai. Mai aa jaungi, aur maa bhi khush hai ki finally tum dono phirse couple banoge. [Ok. Good idea. I'll come, maa is happy you both will once again be a couple.]
Sid: Maa hai aapke paas? [Maa is near you?]
Vaish: Thi, wo gayi phirse kaam karne. Ash kab aa rahi hai timing confirm ki? [Was, she went back to do her work. Have you confirmed Ash's timings?]
Sid: Ha, subah 10: 30 ko uski flight land hogi, aur Avu ko pata nahi hai. Lekin mai warn kar raha hu, woh fighter hai, bachke rehna. [Yes, her flight will land at 10:30 and Avu doesn't know it. But I am warning, she is a fighter, be careful.]
Vaish: Hmm. Acha Viki uth gaya hai, mai phone rakhti hu. [Hmm. Viki has woken up, I'll go now.]
She cut the call. Sid went to Avu's room to check on her. She was sleeping so he went to the kitchen, making Sana sit on the counter safely as he went to drink water. He then picked her up and went in the hall, putting on some tune Sana loved listening to. She clapped her hands listening to it. Sid smiled at her before switching on the t.v. having nothing better to do.
