I walked into Rick's and Kiara's house feeling extremely nervous and I was just about ready to vomit all of my anxiety out, but I was willing to stay strong, for my new family I had to stay strong.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

I cringed at my corny thought but it was a truthful thought that I'm not about to repeat! And of course, there is never a time I enter madam's house and she's not there, I wonder what it will be today.

"Hey there, Ms CEO!" She chirped, waving her hands showing me she had just changed her nails, to a mustard colour and they were coffin-shaped, they weren't bad at all but for her skin colour, they didn't really compliment her pretty fingers, she did have pretty fingers.

"Hey Kiara, how are you doing?" I asked clutching the files right against my chest and smiling at her, she flipped her hair over the side and I couldn't help but notice she had dyed her hair lighter as well, and I will admit, she looked pretty hot, where she went wrong is the amount of makeup she has caked on her face.

Kiara isn't all bad of a person, I have nothing against her, sometimes, it's just that, she's not for everyone?

"You do know you can call me mom right?" she snorted and I stared at her.

"I'd rather not," I snorted back and she laughed, shaking her head murmuring something about me being foolish and funny...wow.

"You seem to be gaining weight, you've been swallowing a lot of sperm haven't you?" She whispered out the 'sperm' leaning in closer to my ear so that only I could hear it.

"Haha, yeah...some kids are better off swallowed," i.e Rick, I rubbed my ear looking away hoping that she'd understand me.

"Oh my gosh, you are so funny!" She laughed out loud and I slowly nodded.

"I'd love to chat," not really. "Is Rick in his office?" I asked her and she gave me an awful pretty smile that made her look so different from her personality.

"These days it seems to be his favourite room, he barely spends time with me," she sighed looking sad and I couldn't help but feel a bit too...for her.

"He never spent time with me either, but you know what he let me spend of his?" I tried to cheer her up with my lame joke. "His money, go wild Kiara, he won't even notice," I said and her eyes lit up and she squealed.

"You are absolutely right! This house does need to be updated, and you need better clothes," I was cheering her on until she decided to hit home and tell me my sense of fashion wasn't good as hers, for pit's sake she wears bubble dresses and sometimes, rarely, it'll be those tight stripper dresses that I have no idea how she gets in them...but okay.

"Sure, I'll see you later," I dismissed myself and walked up the stairs before knocking and opening Rick's office once I heard the approval, see I do have some decency sometimes even though I hate the man. I entered his office and everything was still the same, I looked at the large window on my left and a smile made its way up my face remembering the day Jason had come here to meet with Rick and I got the greatest idea of making him sweat...the start of all of this.

"What can I help you with?" He asked gruffly, lighting up his cigar and I frowned before sitting down in the chair in front of his desk.

"Can you please wait until I'm done? That smell makes me sick," I grumbled as he blew out the smoke from his mouth. He rolled his eyes and did as I asked. "Thank you."

"So what do you want?" He asked and I leaned back on my chair rolling my eyes.

"Aren't you seriously going to ask me how I'm doing? Don't you want to know how my life has been ever since your stupid announcements?" I asked and he smirked leaning back on his chair, crossing one leg over the other.

"I thought you'd be excited, being CEO to one of the biggest corporations," sinking, besides he doesn't even let me CEO it, I'm just there being a face and working on a few projects while he handles everything, well used to if today works out as planned. "And being engaged to the 'love of your life', you ought to be more thankful."

"Oh yes, of course. And because of that, you have made me wiser, father and I can't thank you enough for that. I was so used to my little ways of thinking and I never saw the bigger picture, a picture that you painted for me," I said now bringing in a smirk of my own and he cocked his head to the side still smirking.

"And what picture is that my dear daughter?"

"Me defeating you at your own game," I said and he looked at me completely confused.

"What are you talking about?" I giggled pushing forward the papers that were in my hands on his desk.

"Since you decided to make me CEO, I also decided to buy shares from your company, and I bought you out."

"Impossible," he said profoundly, refusing as he paged through the papers.

"Actually possible, when you get a whole board to agree that you are an unfit member who's driving Adam's corp into a ditch...also possible when you have more shares than anyone, which means that I own forty-five percent of the shares and I'm also CEO and I have made the decision to make my company better by getting rid of its disease, your painting has worked to my benefit," I said smirking and I loved the shocked and furious look that was on his face.

"Those fuckers," he growled out slamming his fist on the table, yes I was loving it but damn the guy was scary right now. "They agreed to buy me out-out of my own company!" He yelled and I slowly scooted my chair backwards, maybe I should have come with Jason or Chris.

"I mean who wouldn't, you threatened them and made their lives hell. Forced them to agree to everything you wanted to do against their better judgement. Maybe you shouldn't have let the girl who saw you doing all of these things CEO, it's your ruination," I added boldly with a shrug and he stared into my eyes before chuckling and leaning back on his chair.

"Well played, Amelia. I never thought you'd have the brains and guts to play my move against me," he said slowly clapping his hands.

"That's the thing with you Rick, you like to undermine people. I went to dinner with Marlene's new family, and let me tell you something. They're amazing, her husband loves her and cares for her in ways you could never, she made something out of herself after you tried so hard to break her, look at who's laughing now," bitch. I got up from my chair and I was just about to turn around when he called out for my name.

"You might've won this battle, but don't you think the paparazzi would have a field day if certain files were to miraculously appear on the internet?" He said and I watched as his evil smirk made its way on his face before matching his with mine.

"Oh, you mean these?" I took out the files and waved them around before dropping them on his desk. "Don't you think they'd have more fun with you? Plus, you could go to jail, both of you yes, but you? You'd be gone for a long time, and do you really want to leave your money with Kiara?" I asked, leaning over the desk and tapping my finger on my chin.

"I don't believe you'd let him go to jail like this," he said, still trying to get me to cower in fear, yes I'm scared and I'm hoping he'll take the bait I'm throwing at him.

"I wouldn't want to, but the ball is in your court now Rick, if you're willing to make that shot, then I'm willing to take the risk because even though you shoot, I still win."

I turned and walked to the door hearing his last words before I made it out.

"I'm willing."

"Your loss," I shrugged and slammed his door closed.
