Jett frowned grumpily to himself as he continued to not so discreetly watch as June continued to hum a lyric less tune to herself , all of her attention drawn down to the leather bound sketch pad in her lap .

Easily ignoring the older mans curiosity that was currently being burned into the side of her face , his saw hanging limply from his hand as he abandoned his newly finished wooden bookshelf that would eventually need to be glossed so that wood wouldn't ruin .

He was usually able to delve straight into his own projects without any distractions , something that was proving to be fruitless with the frustrating blonde kicking her feet up in the air as she lounged back in the sun chair , his large black out sunglasses shading her eyes from him .

He had never before considered himself a needy or attention seeking person . Having always preferred to be left alone in the solitude of his own quite company and yet everything had so suddenly been turned upside down and all he wanted was for June to look at him and smile . Again .

Feeling a itch underneath his skin the longer she continued to stay quite , he had gotten used to her mindless chatter and her angry rants about her father and life in general . He had come to look forward to her cursing about how awful it all was .

Yet here she was , quite as a mouse as the sound of the odd bird chittered away , the scratch of her pencil making him chew on the inside of his cheek as he considered her .

He obviously hadn't expected her to greet him at the door with a kiss this morning , she hadn't , but why in the hell was she being so quite ? Didn't see have some asshole to tell him about ? And most importantly why the fuck was her silence bothering him so much ?

Unable to take it any longer he huffed loudly setting down his saw with a audible bang on the table , wiping the sweat that was gathering on his face with the back of his hand.

"What the fuck is up with you little witch?" He couldn't help but snap , glaring over at the girl who was still refusing to look at him .

A twitch of her lips was all he was met with as she continued to sketch on her pad.
