I was biting in my sandwich when Mr. Exe's voice resonated in the cafeteria through the microphones :
"Maddie Wilson and Trevor Jackson in my office, please"
Yeah, it had to happen a day or another.
I sighed and got up to pack my lunch.
"What's going on ?" Olivia asked in front of me, eating next to Diggy.
I didn't answer and left the cafeteria, feeling a lot of eyes on me.

While walking through the empty hallways, I didn't see anyone, not even Trevor. He wasn't at the cafeteria, so I didn't know where he was at, and didn't care to be honest.
I knocked on the door and waited for the "come in !" to open it. Malcolm was there, sitting, in front of Mr. Exe's desk.
"You can sit down Ms. Wilson."
I walked to the chairs, only to realize I was going to be next to Trevor anyway. Three chairs were there, and the left one was occupied by Malcolm. I was going to be between them both.
"Good." Mr. Exe started as soon as I put my butt down. "We have to wait for Mr. Jackson, he'll soon arrive. But for now I want you Mr. Fond to apologize to her."
Malcolm turned to me. I looked at his face for the first time I came in. He had a black eye and his lip was cut on the right. Did Trevor really did that for me ?
"I'm sorry" he almost whispered, looking down.
"Apologize for real" Mr. Exe ordered.
Malcolm looked in my eyes. "I'm sorry for hurting you Maddie. I hope there's no hard feelings."
Woah. He seemed so sincere.
"It's okay" I shyly answered.
I turned back to the principal.
"Well-"
The door opened suddenly to let Trevor come in. He didn't bother to knock, apologize for his late or even say hello, he just closed the door and sat passively next to me, looking at Mr. Exe and only him.
He had an attitude I didn't see on him since a long time, and a distant, unpleasant memory and sensation came back to me as I observed him.
It was his "bad boy I don't care about anything" attitude. He had it on the first days I met him, but it faded away without me even noticing it, I just realized it. He had changed so much since I took care of him. Maybe Ms. Deep was right.
But now since our last talk, he became like...before. He was not making any efforts anymore. Did I have this much effect on him ?
"Hi Mr. Jackson, glad to see you deigned to come join us. I was currently telling to Ms. Wilson and Mr. Fond to make up and forget all of this. They did it but now's your turn and I don't think this is gonna be really easy with you."
"It's not gonna be easy with me either" Malcolm suddenly interviened. "I don't want to apologize to him or anything, and I don't have to !"
"Would you just shut the hell up already" Trevor slacky said.
"Mr. Jackson and Mr. Fond !!" Mr. Exe loudly spoke.
He sighed. I wanted to sigh too.
"You both apologize to eachother. Now."
Trevor looked at Malcolm, waiting for him to start.
"Mr. Fond ?" the principal encouraged.
"I am sorry. There." he plainly said.
Mr. Exe turned his head to Trevor.
"Excuse me Malcolm for destroying your face" Trevor ironicly smiled, smirking.
Malcolm rolled his eyes as the principal started too talk again.
"So, even if you accepted eachother's excuses, your behaviors were still unforgivable ; therefore, you will have both of you 5 hours of detention this week."
"Five hours ?!" Malcolm almost yelled as Trevor stayed still. He was probably used to that.
"It's either that or I'm telling your parents." Mr. Exe calmly replied.
Trevor threatened Malcolm from the eyes and this one shut up.
"We're good ?" Mr. Exe said.
"We're good" they both mumbled.
"Good. You can let yourself out."

"If you ever touch her again I'll fucking beat the shit outta you got it ?" his threatening groan warned Malcolm.
On the corner of the wall outside, next to the school's parking, I tried my hardest to make the less noise possible. I perceived Trevor's hand on Malcolm's throat, this one against the wall.
"Alright...alright !!" Malcolm whined through his breath, doing his best to speak clearly. He tried to remove Trevor's hand, but it was too fermly gripped on him.
"I swear to God if you put your hands on her again you'll regret it. And this time no teacher and no principal will be here to save you."
I was hearing everything, imagining the scene, my eyes wide open. They got even more surprised when I heard Malcolm's laugh :
"Look at you, Trevor. Always searching troubles with people. Fighting, drinking, having sex... You're wastin' your time. What are you gonna do with your life ? Failing at every subject... You'll never find a job by doing the bad boy."
I heard him falling on the ground. Probably because Trevor has kicked him or something.
"You think this attracts her ?"
"Who are you talkin' 'bout ?!!" Trevor's angry voice answered.
"Maddie." Malcolm laughed. "She don't do bad boys. She don't do anybody !! She doesn't fall for a player. If you want to get her, what you're doing is not the solution at all."
He laughed again. An evil, crazy laugh. "You're never goin' to get her."
"I don't want to get her !!" Trevor screamed, mad.
"I know you do ! Everyone thinks you just want to get in her pants, but I know you don't. Stop tryin' to hide it !"
"I. Fucking. Don't !!!!" Trevor yelled, furious by now.
"Alright. Keep lying to yourself, keep playin' (A/N : Omg Keep Playin' is a Trevor Jackson song okay I'll shut up) with every girl, but she a good one, and I know you want her and only her."
"Go fuck yourself."

I heard footsteps getting closer. And closer. And before I could do anything, it was too late.
He turned at the corner where I was and saw me. He knew I had heard everything.
We looked at eachother for only a few seconds, but it felt like hours to me. Then, he just pointed his middle finger at me, and walked away.

A/N : So, guys, I got a big announcement...^.^
