Poppy, Sally and Blue Jackson

NO MIST

Annabeth and Percy Jackson didn't know what to do.

It wasn't the first time they hadn't know what to do, there had been many times in their teenage years that they hadn't known what to do and they had always made it out okay, but this was different

This was war

In the last three months, they had a revolving door of nannies and people who claim they can handle three sweet little kids...Yeah, each one lasted about a week when the children they claimed were sweet facades melted away and out popped three little demons who liked to destroy the house and get their hands in the things they knew they shouldn't

Normally the husband and wife duo could control their kids, and may of been the only  few people on earth that could handle them (which made sense since they were their parents but still sometimes even they were challenged by having three dyslexic and ADHD kids who enjoy sugar just a little too much)

With Percy away in another country at the moment training for the Olympics and then competing in the Olympic's and Annabeth often going on long trips all around the country and overseas for her Architecture firm, they thought it best they hire a nanny...At least until they weren't so busy

But with three little kids who had a liking to sugar and had ADHD, it wasn't going to be easy. Still they had some hope that the kids would ease up on the nannies, but it seemed that the kids had other plans

Six-year-old Sally Marina Jackson, who had inherited not only her father's looks but also his troublesome personality was often the ringleader convincing her siblings to do her bidding and bend to her will. She was smart but her interests lay in other adventures outside of school and truthfully she found it quite boring

Eight-year-old Poppy Selina Jackson was more than willing to go along with her sister's high jinks ofter luring in the people that cared for them with charming smiles and words as sweet as honey. She inherited her mother's intelligence and wits often using it to find herself in trouble and get herself out of it, the perfect blend of her mother and father not only with her personalty but her curly black hair that fell down to her waist and wide grey eyes that thirsted for knowledge

Five-year-old Blue Luke Jackson looked like an angel, with blonde hair and green eyes but was a little devil in disguise. He was the one that ran most nannies out of the house screaming that they had never met such misbehaving children, he was quick for his age and smart too, just not in the same sense as his sister and he loved to jump in the pool and see how long he could stay underwater, scaring the nannies half to death

After three months, Annabeth and Percy realised that mortal nannies just weren't going to cut it. They couldn't keep up with the children and it was growing increasingly more risky with the children growing older and learning more about the world they were descended from and so they changed tactics and had their friends watch them

They figured that the heroes who saved the world could handle a couple of kids

Boy were they wrong

Piper and Jason were the first to try but they ended up calling Annabeth after three hours saying that Blue had flooded the bathrooms and Sally was hanging from a light fixture and under no circumstances would they babysit again

Grover, taking pity on his old friends were the next to try, he figured if he could look after Percy and keep him from dying then his children should be no problem. But it only took the children two hours to break him this time. Blue had broken Grover's reed pipes  when Grover refused to give him any more candy leaving the poor satyr a sobbing mess

Word spread at how difficult the Jackson kids were being and soon nobody would babysit for Annabeth and Percy despite them being heroes in the demigod world that saved the world twice over

They were running out of options

Until an idea struck Annabeth and she cursed herself for not coming up with in the first place: Who liked to be challenged and hated losing? It didn't matter what rumours flew out of the mouths of frustrated demigods if she was directly challed the daughter of war wouldn't be able to say no

So that's what they did

Clarrise came over the next week determined to break the children, while the children were just as determined to do the same to Clarrise defiance in their eyes as their brains turned and rolled, trying to come up with the quickest way to break her

That was until something nobody expected happened

The children clambered down the stairs, ready to tackle the next person that tried to tame them but stopped short when they came face to face with Clarrise, still as fit and muscled as she had been in her teenage years -- and definitely a lot more scary.

Sally gasped and a little hand closed over her mouth as she looked up at Clarrise with wide, big eyes "You're the one that Dad pulled into the toilet with water, aren't you? He says you weren't very nice"

Clarrise gritted her teeth, willing herself to calm down, they were just trying to get a rise out of her and she wouldn't let them, she wouldn't let herself fall into the trap and instead turned to Poppy who chimed in "Didn't dad have to save you like multiple times?"

Clenching her fist she tried to stop herself from hitting the kid, breathe she tried to tell herself as she clenched and unclenched her fist over and over again, trying to focus on that one task. She and Percy might have put their rivalry aside as they got older and  just pretended to be rivals every once in a while (because it annoyed everyone around them) but she still didn't need to be reminded of every time the Saviour saved her butt

Finally, with a sour look, she turned to the youngest child and by far the most devious expecting him to say something along the lines of how his father was a hero and she was just a damsel that needed saving (She wasn't by the way, she always lead by example. If you don't want someone to screw something up. Do it yourself) and all he said was "You can take my Dad in a fight right? You look like you can take him"

A wicked glint in her eyes and an equally wicked smile crossed her face as she pointed at him "You. I like you"

It was all she said and all that needed to be said for a friendship to be formed
