The final part of the Percy Falls Alone Series. Wow, it feels weird to have ended two major one-shot series in the last few weeks but I'm hoping to end this book at 100 chapters which means tying up loose ends and tidying up the bits that I want. So I can make this an enjoyable read for everyone and you guys aren't left with questions

Also TW for abuse, torture and self-harm suicide idealisation but I hope you enjoy it all the same

Peace at Last

NO MIST

Percy Jackson, the sea green-eyed demigod son of Poseidon felt a shiver run down his spine as he wandered through the depths of Tartarus and he felt his stomach drop and twist leaving him to nearly throw up at the horrid sights he had seen and the horrible sights that he would continue to see until he would finally find a way out of this literal hell hole and back to normal civilisation ... well as normal as a seventeen-year-old demigod who has control over water could be anyway.

Waking with a start, Percy's heartbeat was racing so much that it thumped against his ribcage so hard that he thought it might break. Placing a hand over his heart, he just lay there for a minute. Two minutes. Three minutes. Ten minutes. Until he could properly catch his breath again and his heart wasn't racing so fast

He turned his head to see Annabeth laying there, fast asleep, blonde hair splayed out on the pillow. Rebellious hairs sticking out all over the place and her mouth was slightly open but to Percy, she looked as beautiful as the first time he had laid eyes on her. Just having Annabeth next to him, calmed him down more than she would ever know

She stirred slightly in her sleep, it probably being disturbed from when Percy woke up from his sleep and her liquid grey eyes open slowly blinking a few times to get used to being awake "Hey Percy you okay?" She whispered softly

Percy nodded although he wasn't sure as he was quite sure that war and death would be battling it out trying to take over his soul, faceless creatures that would take and take until he had nothing left to give and that was something that terrified him, that one day he wouldn't be the boy that cared about everything and anything and instead he would be an empty vessel having been through too much to care.

Tartarus broke him.

There was no other way to put it, it ripped him to shreds and ate out his insides, eating all the good parts of him so there was nothing left to him other than the parts rotting inside, the humiliation, the shame, the raw power basically every part of him that he would never let anyone see but they managed to pick him apart until his skeleton was nothing but these parts

A knife ran along Percy's neck and his breath hitched as it drew blood, the scream trapped in his throat. It would do no good if he was to scream anyway, nobody was around to hear him scream and it would probably make the torture worse

His eyes cast downwards, looking at all his other wounds, his ribs had been shifted most likely dislocated or broken if the stabbing pain in his chest were anything to go by also every time he breathed his lungs seem to shift up making it even harder for him to breathe

"You ready for some more?" A voice hissed in his direction--

That may have been his final breaking point

He no longer belonged to himself but rather the voices in his head, he felt trapped like no matter how many times he screamed or if he screamed until his voice was raw no one would hear him anyway. It was pointless. He was pointless. Life was pointless. So perhaps that is why he picked up a cigarette to help with the pain he was feeling.
