Mortals meet Percabeth (and others)

Thalia, Nico, Percabeth meet: Lily Robertson

I walk across the hall towards my neighbour Sally Blofis' apartment that she shares with her son Perseus and her husband Paul with my husband Benjamin and daughter Hannah, Hannah was wearing a knee length light pink dress with a matching ribbon in her hair because girls should always look proper and should always wear dresses after all that is the proper attire for young girls, my husband of ten years wore a dress shirt and trousers, he is like me always wanting to look his best it has been like that ever since we met at church thirteen years ago, we are both strong believers and often preach the life of Christianity to others  

I  knock on the door of apartment 302 and I hear shuffles and screams before the door swung open and there stood Sally, her tired eyes burning bright with an apologetic look and I looked past her shoulder just in time to see Sally's son Perseus run across the apartment screaming his lungs off dressed in jeans and a bright orange t-shirt. They do understand that dinner is supposed to be a formal event and everyone looks like they have just rolled out of bed  

I will never understand why Sally had a son outside of marriage when she was younger and since then has had two more marriages the first one failing miserably and the second one being at least a little bit more stable than the first 

"Hi guys, Sorry about the noise and mess, my sons cousins have just turned up...Unexpectedly" She explains looking completely lost and I wonder why she she hesitated before saying unexpectedly, how could she not know if her son's cousins had come over? Who doesn't know if someone is coming over to their house ? "Come in dinner is almost ready"

We nod and step in and immediately I can see what Sally means the apartment is an unorganised mess with toy swords thrown everywhere and I swear I saw a bow on the coffee table. Minutes later Paul comes out the kitchen in jeans and a checkered shirt "Hello, Lily Benjamin and Hannah I hope you're hungry dinner will be ready in a few minutes but why don't you sit down while you are waiting"

We sit down on the leather sofa leaving the loveseat unoccupied and a leather seat also unoccupied and delve into polite conversation with Paul about his job and learn that he is an English teacher at the local high school and my husband slips in the occasional statement about church which makes Paul look largely uncomfortable. Are the family not believers? Oh well we'll just have to convert them over dinner 

Sally calls us from the kitchen a few seconds later and says that dinner is ready. Our family moves into the kitchen with Paul right behind us, before he sits however he places a lingering kiss on his wife's lips and I look away in distaste I believe you should never show Public Displays of Affection unless it's a kiss to the cheek or forehead but its there house so I can't say anything 

"PERCY!" Sally yells up the stairs "Get the others and come down dinner is ready!"

Moments later I hear pounding footsteps as someone runs down the stairs and someone shout "I'm sorry Pinecone Face I never meant to steal your bow the Stolls tricked me" As Percy rushes into the kitchen looking frightened quickly followed by a girl with spiky black hair and electric blue eyes. She also had on a silver tiara that she wore on her head but that didn't go with the rest of her outfit which was a black leather jacket and skinny jeans that she paired with a black t-shirt which said 'Death By Barbie' I was astonished how could a girl wear such a thing?

"PERSEUS JACKSON I WILL KILL YOU!" She yells a murderous glint in her eyes

I was about to shout at the girl for saying such a thing but Sally cut it before I could "No weapons in the house" She says tiredly like it was a regular occurrence and I looked at Sally a bewildered look crossing my features and I waited for her to explain but the explanation never came in fact everything carried on as it had before as the girl and her son took their places at the table and began shovelling food into their mouths

After a while of normal conversation Paul asked Percy something "So Thaila, Percy where are Annabeth and Nico" Percy just gives his stepdad a mere shrug of his shoulders and carried on eating but the punk girl -- Thalia -- answered Paul 

"Went back to Camp" The girl answered before her gaze slid towards us before she continued "There was some business there, there'll be back soon"  She emphasised the word business as if that made everything better and everyone knew what she was talking about and it seemed to work because Paul and Sally just nod their heads and go back to the conversation we were having before but I notice a fearful and worried look in their eyes

Halfway through the meal the door opes and two teens stumbled in looking bloodied and bruised one looked around Percy's age with blonde curly hair and startling grey eyes which gave me the impression she was dumb and the other looked worse than the girl with a large cut across the pale skin on his face, he ha dark hair and as equally dark eyes and wore all black giving off the impression that he was emo 

Thalia and Percy stood up and rushed to the two teens hooking their arms around them and taking the two bruised teens into the living room while Sally and Paul looked at each other and seemed to have a silent conversation with their eyes finally they both pulled back from the table and went their separate ways Sally to the living room and Paul upstairs leaving me to exchange curious glances with my daughter and husband before curiously got the better of me and I followed Sally to the living room to See the boy lying down on the sofa and the girl curled up on the loveseat with Percy. I almost said something about this absurd scene but I bit my tongue as Sally was speaking 

"...Will is on his way" She finished and I see the boy flush a light pink 

"I don't mean to intrude" I state politely and everyone turns to look at me "But shouldn't they go to the hospital?"

Immediately everyone glares at me and I try to act strong but end up flinching back until Sally turns to me "Lily I think it's best if you leave for now, we are very busy" She tells me and I nod my head no longer feeling very welcomed and I turn on my heel and head back to the kitchen telling Hannah and Benjamin it was time to go

As we leave I see Hannah look into the room curiously and the boy give her a slight glare which makes her look away again flushing a deep red and we head back over the hall back to our apartment 

And we never went back to apartment 302
