I used to be the most popular person in Goode High school; everyone loved me and would usually want to be around me for my awesome personality. Well, that was until 'the big three' transferred to school. They stole my popularity now people fawned after them and fell at their feet and people forget about me like I was yesterday's news. I hated them and I hated most of all their leader Perseus 'Percy' Jackson weird name right? But people treated him like he was some kind of God, I mean he totally wasn't I was (or at least I like to say I am son of Poseidon as the Gods revealed themselves to still be alive) but I also hated Thalia, she was hot and I liked her at first but she punched me in the nose when I tried to ask her out which led me to have a bruised luckily not broken nose for seven weeks but it was still three sizes to big for my face and the bruised bone hasn't set yet either so now I have a massive bump now which made my popualarity lessen even more and then there was Nico well he just creeped me out so I stayed the Hades away from him

Today was an exciting day at school because we were going to visit the Empire State Building where the Gods and Goddesses currently reside in modern times and everyone was excited that we were actually going to meet the Gods (I just hope I don't get found out as a liar because that would crush my popularity into the ground) but then I found out three of the popular kids weren't in school today so that left me confused but the attention was back on me so it quickly slipped from my mind

But just as we were coming closer to the Empire State the thought reentered my mind and I asked one of the English teachers, who I thought were quite boring but everyone seemed to love him and he was quite a lax teacher compared to the other teachers in school and did let his students away with a bit more than most teachers would but he. would still be firm if he needed too I also heard he had a stepson that went to Goode but I had no idea who it was "Sir" I said "Where are Perseus and his friend?" I ask to which he just raised an eyebrow at my tone before but didn't pull me up on it

"They'll meet us there" He chuckles shaking his head

That left me more confused than before how can they meet us there? They had missed the coach unless there was another one, but I doubted it...My mind clouded with these thoughts for a few minutes but was soon cleared by one of my football mates tapping me on the shoulder and striking up a conversation and for the rest of the journey I didn't think about Perseus or his weird friends.

Our homeroom shuffled into the Empire State buildings lobby and we were all squished up against each other with no elbow room and I thought where are the Gods and Goddesses weren't they supposed to reside here? It didn't make sense because I had been here multiple times before and had never seen any God or Goddess strolling around. But before I could say anything about how it made no sense that Gods would reside in a place where they could easily be seen by 'mortals' like here the English teacher that I had spoken to earlier made his way over to the information desk and had a quiet conversation with the clerk so quiet that I didn't hear what he said and I was luck enough to be in the front and he came back holding a golden key with a bronze string tied around it. I wonder what that is

He then gestured for us to follow him and we did into an elevator that expanded when it got to full it was awesome but also quite daunting at the same time and the teacher who had the key put it in a key slot that just looked like any other key slot on on a elevator but when he turned it a button that wasn't there before magically came up and on it was written 600 and the teacher pressed it smiling a little

We didn't even get out of the elevator before I heard a familiar voice shout "I bet 20 drachmas that Hermes will win the prank war" I look around confused wondering if I had heard right but as I stepped out the elevator it was unmistakable who that voice belonged to...Perseus Jackson...I almost fainted when I saw not only him but his weird hot and creepy friend sat on the floor of the massive throne room laughing with two of the gods like they were best friends not noticing that we had come in (or if they had, they didn't care)

"No way!" Thalia cried standing up "Apollo will win"

"No you two are wrong" Nico cut in "We will"

"But we haven't signed up" Jackson protests

"Exactly so they won't expect us when we win" Nico says grinning creepily

"I have some great ideas" Jackson and Thalia say in unison before they glare at each other and man was it scary as sparks fly from Thalia's eyes and hands I almost peed my pants and everyone was holding their breath thinking they were going to kill each other but they burst out laughing and they laughed for about ten minutes straight

"QUIET" Zeus shouted causing everyone to take a step back and for Thalia Nico and Perseus to look at each other and burst out laughing again and the king of gods looked annoyed so much so that I thought he would smite the three popular kids "I will not ask you again"

"You will" Nico argued

"I won't" Zeus snapped back to the fourteen year old

"You will" Jackson and Thalia say together again

"QUIET" Bellows Zeus and I hear Nico mutter 'I told you'

Zeus ignored Nico and addresses us "Hello mortals welcome to Olympus" and then he told the three annoyingly popular kids to stand up and said introduce yourself and called them heroes

"Perseus Jackson son of the god of the sea" Jackson did a bow

"Thalia — just Thalia daughter of the sky"

"Nico di Angelo son of death"

"Bye mortals Paul I'll see you later mom made cookies" Jackson says before disappearing with his cousins and a warning from Artemis to bring her second in command back alive
