Leo was supposed to be dead

That's what they said when they came back, that he was dead and that he had put his own life on the line to save theirs and the news had me heartbroken and crying for weeks as I festered in my anger towards the rest of the seven for not trying hard enough, for not trying to save him when they had the chance

But then as if by some miracle some young camper spotted something flying around the camp and as it drew closer you could see it was clearly a bronze metal dragon carrying two people...But how could that be? It just didn't make any sense! The only metal dragon I knew was Fetus and he was apparently destroyed in the blast, not to mention that Leo was the only person who could ride the dragon

"LOOK OVER THERE!"

I look over to where the young camper was pointing to and saw the metal dragon flying lower than the clouds now so that we could clearly see that Fetus was carrying two people on his back; a scrawny looking boy with elfish looking features and a girl who had an ageless look about her with long caramel hair that was in a braid down her back  and matching coloured eyes

Tears spring to my eyes, almost immediately, I couldn't believe my eyes: Leo was alive

"LEO YOU'RE ALIVE?" One of the many campers that had gathered around in a messy circle  yelled out amongst the mummers and whispering. Leo didn't reply as he hopped off the massive dragon before taking the girls hands and helping her off

"As you can see I am alive" Leo smirked as he faced the crowd and asked "No Dirt Face can kill me, did you really think a blast would destroy my beautiful face and body?"

"WHOSE THAT?" Someone else yelled pointing at the girl

"That is my beautiful girlfriend and partner in crime Calypso" He announced, grinning

In that moment my heart shattered into a million pieces as wolf whistles drum into my ear and I can't help but try to disguise a sob with a chuckle and a lot of people are too distracted by Leo to even notice that I'm upset but I'm pulled out of my wallowing for a moment by Percy Jackson stepping forward, a nervous look in his eyes that spreads across his features

"C-Calypso?" He stutters quietly if I wasn't right near him I wouldn't been able to hear

She turned around to face Percy, the grin melting from her face and morphing into a cold mask and she glares at him "You left me on the Island" She spits out "You promised me, you promised me that I would be able to leave and I waited for you but you didn't show and two years went by and I finally lost hope -- until he showed up"

"Look Calypso I really did try to get you off the island" Percy sighed sounding hurt and we all knew why because we all knew what his fatal flaw was "I made a deal with the Gods to get you out off there, they swore on the river Styx, I didn't realise they had broken the oath until it was too late I'm sorry"

"All is forgiven" She chirped after a moment "Maybe it worked out the way it was supposed to, you got back to Annabeth and I learnt how wild life could be from this one who eventually saved me from my prison"

The two embraced in a sibling way and I smiled until the attention was turned to me

"Calypso, my beautiful girlfriend meet one of my best friends and Daughter of Demeter, Hannah King" Leo grinned and ran behind me before squeezing my shoulders as he gave me a hug from behind and my whole body turned into a puddle at that moment as sparks of electricity tonight the nerves in my body awake as if they had been sleeping this whole time as butterflies invade my stomach fluttering around and making me feel sick

"H-Hi" I say, trying to be polite

The girl in front of me waved back as Leo bumped my shoulder "Awe. Is Little Kingsley too shy to talk to talk to the new person in front of her, I told you that I could have given you lessons on how to be more confident around people. I mean who is more confident than Leo FLAMIN' Vadelz" He grins before proceeding to light himself on fire

"SHUT UP LEO!" We both yelled at him causing Leo to roll his eyes

It was true I wasnt confident speaking to new people whenever I tried I would always stutter and my hands would get clams and I would begin to feel sick with nerves since I met Leo it has gotten better but sometimes I still slip into the old me when I'm placed in an uncomfortable situation like now

"Awe come on Han" Leo grinned putting himself out "You know I was only messing"

Calypso then proceeded to flick his forehead and I burst into laughter, I think I just made a new friend. Don't get me wrong I'm still madly in love with Leo but over time I think I will get over him.
