Once again I hope I did alright representing trans people I'm sorry if I got some things wrong just let me know if I did and I'll fix it as soon as I can but hopefully, you all enjoy this one's a bit of a fluffy one as the rest of them have been quite dark recently

It had been a long five years but I had finally done it, I had finally become a boy I just had my bottom surgery a few months ago and even though the road hadn't been easy I find myself more happy and comfortable the last few months than I have in my entire life honestly it was worth cutting my toxic mother out of my life

Like Nico said all those years ago "One day Hannah you'll feel like you won't be able to go on and that the world is against you and that you were destined to be alone for all eternity but then you'll have a choice to make; to continue sticking it out through the hard times waiting to see if something better comes along or to end all the pain and misery your feeling. I had that choice a couple of years ago after I had just lost my sister and I'm not going to lie to you it was a dark and dangerous road but look where it got me to the boy I love and would do anything for and with a family who loves and supports me and I hope you make the same choice I made: To stay strong because I know you can do it"

And while those words offered comfort at the time I couldn't understand the weight behind them and now I do, to be the way I want to be I had to lose things like lose the love of my mother but I did gain my own identity as an individual and I couldn't be happier, I had finally got rid of my old skin and it shows 

I have new friends and old and I even have a boyfriend so today we were going to our fifth pride festival and I have never felt more happy and excited to be going as we were going to meet Nico and Will and their new son Luca, I hadn't seen him yet but he was so adorable from what I'd been able to of him in photographs

"You ready to go, babe?" My boyfriend, Adam asks as he kisses me on the cheek

"Yeah," I tell him as I stand up from my bed rubbing around my cheeks being careful not to smudge the little pride flags on my cheek. I lean over to kiss him before getting him to turn around and jumping on his back, he laughed before cupping his hands around the back of my thighs and racing out of the bedroom down the stairs and out of the door

"Bye Annie! We'll be back soon!"

"Okay, Henry!" Annie yelled back "See you later!"

Even though the Pride Festival was bustling and loud, I had never felt more at home and alive it just had this atmosphere which made you feel welcome no matter what. I slid off Adam's back when we get more into the crowds and instead I slip my hand into his

"You okay, Henry?" He asks me

"I'm awesome," I tell him with a grin "Let's go find Nico and Will"

"Sure babe" Adam chuckles as I pull him through the crowds looking for Nico and Will, I really do love Adam and he helped me out of my shell and gave me a place to call home where I had nowhere to go. We swing our intertwined hands as we walk and it is nice to not be stared at or looked at like we're a piece of shit on the bottom of their shoe 

But this is home

"So are you looking forward to starting med school this fall?"

"Yeah, I've dreamed of becoming a doctor ever since I was a child, but my mum would never allow it she always said that becoming a doctor was no job for a girl and I want to do this and prove her wrong"

"But you keep forgetting you're not with mom anymore nor do you have to live with her toxic rules or beliefs anymore you are a beautifully handsome young man that I love and you don't have to go to Med School just to prove your mom wrong, if you want to go to Med School it should be because you want to"

"I know" I give him a soft smile "I love you"

"I love you too babe"

"Henry,  Adam!" Will shouts and I turn to them to see a boy about six years old on Will's shoulder his black hair and blue eyes he smiles when he sees me like he's seen me a thousand times and I smile back before I immediately hug them although I have to stand on my tiptoes to reach around Will's neck as he towers over me, same with Nico although he is an inch or two shorter than Will (drawbacks of being born short, I suppose) and although Nico isn't a touchy-feely kind of person, we had kind of grown to be friends and his grown to actually tolerate my touch 

"Nice to see you guys and of course nice to meet you, Luca!"

"Are you Papi's and Dad's friend?" Luca asks excitement filling his blue eyes

"I suppose I am"

"That's cool"

"So what have we been talking about?" Nico asks as he takes hold of Luca under his arms and lifts him off his shoulders holding the little boy on his hips "Anything interesting like death or My Chemical Romance?"  

"I forgot how morbid Nico can get sometimes" Adam mutters in my ear causing me to laugh as Adam shakes his head "Nah man we were talking about Henry going to Med School in the fall"

Nico groaned "Awe why does everyone have to follow in your Dad's footsteps"

"That's because my dad is awesome!"

"He literally wakes you up when the sun rises every morning and you call that being awesome?" Nico asks causing Will to roll his eyes but his lips do have a small twitch to them so I can tell he's amused "At least my Dad knows I value my sleep"

"Yeah well my family's toxic" I shrug "And now I don't have to deal with them"

"Trust us our family is as messed up as anyone" Will informs me

"Am I the only one with a normal family?" 

"Yes!" We all exclaim towards Adam before falling into laughter
