Walking over to my best friend Katie Garderner I smile at her but she's too busy mumbling and frowning to notice me come up to her and as I get closer to her I noticed that she was mumbling to herself amd I could only catch snippets of her conversation with herself "Conner and Travis...the hades out of me today"

Humph that was weird it sounded like she talking about the infamous pranksters of the school Conner and Travis Stoll because she doesn't know any other Connor or Travis's and I should know because I was her best friend but that couldn't be who she was talking about though because  although I'm friends with the twins she hates them every time the Stoll brothers play a prank on the school, Katie is the first to complain 

I snap my fingers in front of her face too cut her out of her trance and it takes a few minutesx to fully snap her out of it but when she does she looks up at me and her eyes widen slightly and a blush rises on the back of her neck and cheeks

"Hey Amy" She says arkwardly as her eyes go wide

"Hi" I chirp back excited

Katie opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by the bell and she closed it looking slightly relieved as she grabbed my arm and we made our way to class which just so happened to be English class with Mr Blackburn who was this strictest teacher here at Adams Prep school and Katie for whatever reason she had didn't seem to be in the best moods this morning but for her sake I prayed that she wouldn't find herself in trouble with Mr Blackburn 

Suddenly two boys rounded the connor, each wearing a micheivious grin and a certain twinkle in their eyes that made me want to check everything on me and I see my friends Connor and Travis the infamous pranksters of the school but also two of my three best friends and the people that Katie hated "Hello, Miss Flowerhead and Crazy girl" Conner said and Katie looked just about ready to kill him a murderous glint in her usually big and innocent green eyes 

"I told you not to call me that Connor" Snapped Katie

Connor just chuckles and throws his head back and I notice that Travis had moved behind us unbeknownst to my best friend and his brother as Connor continues to laugh and Katie continues to get even more angry her fists curl into a tight ball at her sides and her face was bright red with anger I've never seen her this angry and I didn't know what to do and I don't know how to stop her simply because I have never seen Katie like this I always just thought that she was the quiet girl who sat in the back of the room and never got into any trouble and thats why we balanced each other out I was the loud mouth she the calm one but this is new this is a different side to Katie 

Finally Connor stops laughing like a maniac but the troublemaker grin that he always wears and what has most of the girls in the school (except Katie and I) falling at the brothers feet "Calm down Katie-Kat it was only a joke" 

Katie goes a deeper shade of red (if that was even possible) and she pulls out a ruler from her boot that I didn't even notice she had before and goes to lunge at Connor and that was when I was going to step in before either one of my friends got hurt, (I was going to say before Katie got hurt but looking at her now there could be a strong possibility that she'll hurt Connor) but I was beaten to it by Travis who quickly wrapped his arms around the struggling  Katie's waist

"Let me go Travis! Let me go!" Katie yelled thrashing about in his arms

But Travis just ignored her and held her tightly until she stopped thrashing around and pulled Katie into his chest as soon as Katie's back touched Travis's chest I could see the sense of relief washing over her face and she finally relaxed leaving my features to contort in confusion why is Katie so comfortable around Travis even though she had hated the brothers? I mean it was obvious by the way she reacted by the names Flowerhead and Katie-Kat but in Travis's arms she seems so comfortable and at home 

"Shush Katie-Kat it was just a little prank that Connor played you know what Cabin 11 is like you know who our dad is and what he does" Travis whispers in a hushed tone, I suppose I wasn't supposed to hear that and I'm not even sure I heard it correctly because none of what Travis said makes much sense but Katie just sighed 

"I know Trav I know" She then turned around and kissed his cheek 

What. The. Hell. Just. Happened ?

"What is going on?" I demand angrily pointing between Katie and Travis who had now sprung a meter apart Katie once again red in the face but this time not with anger but she was blushing - I had never seen Katie blush before 

Travis flashed me a grin and awkwardly stared to rub at his neck while Katie buried her face in Travis's chest before he spoke "Katie and I are together but we didn't tell anyone because Katie here was too shy and since she is always mad at my bro or I we decided it would be best if Katie supposedly hated us but it was so hard trying to keep the girls and even though nobody believed me when I said I had a girl" Travis wrapped an arm around Katie's waist and kissed her on the head

Then the late bell rang and we said a quick goodbye 

Unfortunately we still got detention along with the Stoll brothers
