He'd be very surprised at first. He tenses up and holds on tight onto whatever he has in his hand before turning around and seeing that its just you. He relaxes and turns around to give you a hug back, nuzzling his head into your shoulder as he melts into the affection. Lets you play with his hair as you mutter sweet words to him, only making him melt more.

Badboyhalo
He loved it before he knew who was hugging him, but when he found out you were the one hugging him he's even happier than before. He turns around and picks you up, giving you a bit hug while smothering you in smooches and compliments. In the end your hanging on his back piggy-back style as he continues doing what he was doing before.

She jumps at first but turned around and smiles as she saw you. She returns the hug and talks to you about your day. Free therapy in the end.

He  jumps and turns around talking about killing you before he see's its you and calms down. He tells you to forget what he was saying and asks for you to do that again. Jumps and lets out a small 'wah' before whipping around and staring at you. He takes a moment to process before smiling and returning the hug ten fold, talking about how you scared him and all that. He picks you and and spins a couple times before placing you down and giving you a smooch before going back to what he was doing.

You can't hug him but he appreciates the try a lot. Instead you hug friend and tell him it's like hugging him, soft and comforting, which makes him tear up.
