Chapter 2

Third person POV

Minghao searched through the forest. He couldn't call out for her because he knew she is scared and is in fear. Minghao checked the time. *it's getting late now.* he sighed when he see no sight of the wolf.

As he was about to take his leave, he spotted a dark figure on the ground not far from him. He quickly ran towards the figure.

He sniffed the air. *the same omega.* he squatted in front of the female omega and examine her. *I know omega's size is a lot smaller compared to other wolf, but this one...she's extremely small. It's like she's not fed well.*

"Hey." Minghao gently called her but of course she didn't answer. "I'm sorry but I'm bringing you back with me." He gently lift the wolf in his arms and he let out unintentional gasp. *she's so light.*

With the female omega in his hands, Minghao went back to Bloodmoon Canines mansion.

Jihoon woke up due to a rapid knocks on his door. "Alpha Jihoon! Jihoon oppa, please open the door!" the voice of a woman shouted.

Jihoon lazily dragged his feet to the door and opened it. "What is it, Lee Minseo?! Can't you see I'm sle-" "Minghao oppa brought someone home." The woman names Minseo blurted out. Jihoon turned fierce. "Where is he now?"

Without even knocking, Jihoon rushed into the room. A few pack members were in there with Minghao. Jihoon strode towards him before clutching onto his collar tightly, "What are you doing, Xu Minghao?" he gritted his teeth.

"I found her by herself near the river. "

"Doesn't matter if it's a her or a him, you are not supposed to bring home someone. We could be in danger!" Jihoon yelled.

Just then a small whimper is heard. Both Jihoon and Minghao turned to the wolf. A few female pack members were attending her cuts as per requested by Minghao.

Upon noticing the female wolf on the bed, Jihoon's nose pickup something. He turned to Minghao, even fiercer than before. "You brought home an omega?! Are you in your right state of mind?!" Jihoon was mad.

"I'm insane if I let an omega out there, alone. You know well that they are endangered group of wolf."

"And I don't mind! This is not a shelter for an endangered species like that!"

Loud gasps were heard from the others when the wolf suddenly woke up and jumped off the bed. She let out a loud growl.

Minghao looked into Jihoon's eyes. "Let go off me so I can take care of her." he spoke rather softly.

Jihoon gritted his teeth before he let him go.

Minghao carefully walked towards the wolf. "Hey, it's me. You remember me right?" he went on his knees so he would be same eye level with the female wolf.

The wolf took a step backward.

"Hey, don't be afraid. We're not going to hurt you. Look, they're here to fix your cuts." Minghao said. The wolf turned sideways and look at her hind before she sniffed it. She let out a small whimper.

"That's right." Minghao took another step closer to her. "We're not hurting you." The wolf lowered her defence bit. "Can you...shift back? We can treat you better then." Minghao suggested.

The wolf just looked at the others in the room.

Minghao frowned, "What's wrong?" the wolf continued to let out a soft whimper. "Ah! I see!" Minghao finally knew the reason. He got up and quickly snatched the blanket off the bed. "What are you doing?" Jihoon asked in curiosity. "You'll see." Minghao answered simply.

"Here." Minghao carefully went to the wolf and put the blanket over the wolf, covering her entirely. "You can shift whenever you're ready." Minghao smiled at her.

In less than a minute, the wolf shifted back to a woman.

The woman pack members gasp. "She's pretty." "What a beauty."

Minghao smiled. *she is a beauty after all. Just what we expected from an omega.* he thought. Minghao looked at the others, "Can you help me fixing her cuts and everything. I need to talk with the alpha." Minghao said and they nodded.

Jihoon just stared at Minghao with his arms crossed. "It's good that you know we need to talk. I have a lot to talk with you about this omega." "I know." Minghao got up and turned to leave.

"Uhm, Minghao sir..." one of the pack member called. Minghao was about to turn around when he suddenly felt a tug on his cloth. He slightly turned around, noticing that it was only the female omega.

With her hand clutching onto the blanket, trying to keep the blanket attached to her body, her other hand shakily held onto Minghao's shirt. She shook her head.

"What's wrong?" Minghao asked. She didn't say anything but to shake her head. He noticed the tears in her eyes. "You want me to stay?" he asked her and she nodded. Minghao smiled, "Sure, I'll stay."

"Minghao!" Jihoon said his name sternly, causing the female omega to tremble in fear. Minghao gently wrapped his hands around the female omega. He then turned to Jihoon. "I'm sorry Alpha but I'll talk to you once I take care of everything here."

Jihoon gritted his teeth before he stormed out from the room with the other female, Minseo.
