Chapter 24

Third person POV

"Auw, oppa! I'm tired!" Minseo whined.

The other three who were walking few steps ahead of her turned around in annoyance. "No one asked you to come along and yet you did! Now suck it up, Lee Minseo." Jihoon stopped to talk with her while Minghao and Y/n continued their hiking.

Minghao groaned, "I knew it's better if we leave through the back door." "Sorry." Y/n apologized. "Hey it's not your fault. She just happen to see us leave through the front door, that's it." Minghao patted her head.

"Are you okay?" he asked her. She nodded, "I may be an...omega but I can walk this far." She smiled. Minghao shook his head. "I'm not talking about hiking, Y/n. I'm talking about that." He nodded at her neck.

Y/n had a scarf tied around her neck. It's to cover the handprint mark Minseo gave her. It can be a good evidence for Jihoon to throw her out but Y/n didn't want that. Nevertheless, Minseo is still Jihoon's family.

"Y-Yes, I'm...good." She smiled.

"You two!"

The both turned around. "Yes, alpha?" Minghao called. "We need to find a place to take a rest. Minseo couldn't walk anymore." Jihoon said. "Okay, alpha. There should be a stream ahead of us. We can stop there." Minghao suggested.

"Nice!" Jihoon agreed.

Minghao sighed before he turned to Y/n. "Aren't you going to scold him or anything?" "Why?" she asked. "Because he did it for Minseo?" he asked again.

She shrugged. "I can't...even though I wanted to. He's an....alpha." "And he's your mate. You deserve all of his attention. Not that woman!" Minghao said.

Y/n gently took his hand and squeezed it. "It's okay, oppa. Really." Minghao let out a heavy sigh again.

They took a rest near the stream. Just then Jihoon came to Minghao. "I got to take a leak." Minghao frowned, "Okay. Do you want me to come along?"

"No." Jihoon rolled his eyes. "I'm just informing you. Keep an eye on both of them while I'm gone." Jihoon said. Minghao chuckled, "Will do alpha."

Jihoon walked away but then Minghao stopped him. "Alpha, I think I need one too." He said.

"Need what?" Minseo asked.

"Men's business." Jihoon answered. "Can I come along?" she asked him.

Y/n and Minghao looked at her with a 'seriously?' and 'really?' look.

"I told you it's men's business, Minseo. Are you deaf or are you an idiot?" Jihoon asked her. "Both." Minghao whispered.

Minseo groaned. "Fine. Just be fast. Then we can go down this mountain."

Jihoon shook his head before he went away with Minghao.

Once the two males disappeared from view, Minseo got up. Y/n looked at her in puzzle. "Come with me." Minseo said. Y/n obeyed her words and followed her. They went towards the way they come from.

"Where...are we going?" Y/n answered. "I know I can be a jerk sometime but I want to show you this. I noticed this flower while we go up a moment ago." Minseo said. "They're pretty so I thought of showing them to you." she added. She smirked silently. *and after that, I will leave you there.*

They stopped at a place. "You can see they're down there." Minseo said. Being a blunt, straight person she is, Y/n walked forwards. She looked down. "But there's nothing...there." "Exactly! And no one will find you once you fall down there!" "What-" with that Minseo pushed her off the 10 meter drop cliff.

But Y/n was pulling Minseo's arm for support which caused both of them to fall down.

Y/n let out an ear-piecing scream when she sprained her ankle. Her head starts to bleed, probably when it hits the rock. On the other hand, Minseo only suffered a few scratches on her hands and legs.

"Damn you, omega!" Minseo yelled. "This is your fault!" after that Minseo started to call for help. Since the trail hasn't been used my many people, it's hard to grab the others' attention. Even if they shift into their wolves form, they couldn't jump that high, especially for Y/n.

Y/n cried in pain. The pain was too unbearable for her. She couldn't even stand.

Back at the stream, the two male wolves returned from their business. They were surprise to find the females were not there. "Where are they?" Minghao looked around. "Over there! I picked up Y/n's scent!" Jihoon lead the way and Minghao followed him from behind.

The males reached the cliff. "Y/n?! Minseo?!" Jihoon shouted. "Oppa, we're down here!" Minseo shouted back. Without any hesitation, Jihoon and Minghao jumped down the cliff. Jihoon and Minghao hurriedly went to Y/n. "You're bleeding!" Jihoon looked frantic. He took out his handkerchief and pressed it against Y/n's bleeding head. "I think...I sprained my ankle." She sobbed. Jihoon looked at her ankle and surprise swept his face. "Not to surprise you but you didn't sprained your ankle, Y/n. Your bone was slightly dislocate. We need to get you home fast." Just when Jihoon was about to carry her, Minseo fake cried.

"Oppa, it's hurt! Please help me!"

"Hold on." Jihoon looked at Minseo before he turned back to Y/n. "Y/n-" "Just go to her." Y/n said with pain plastered on her face. She was hurt physically and emotionally. 

"I will after I help you." Jihoon was about to fix her position but Y/n roughly pushed his hand away. "Go! She needs you more!" she looked away.

Jihoon hesitate at first but he still got up and went to check his cousin.

Minghao came over to Y/n. "Let's go home okay? We need to get you to the hospital." He squatted in front of Y/n with his back facing her. "Get on my back." Minghao said.

With great pain, Y/n forced herself back on her feet. She stepped on the ground with her other feet. "It's okay...I can walk." She leaned against a giant boulder and took a step forward while dragging her other pained leg.

Minghao went to her, "Don't be ridiculous! You can't walk in that condition."

Jihoon stood up and walked away from Minseo. "Minghao, let me." "I said I'm fine!" Y/n glared at Jihoon, the same glared she gave him in his reading room. Yes, that Y/n is back.

"Oppa, I can't walk! Can you carry me?" Minseo whined. Y/n gritted her teeth before she took another step forward. Minghao looked between Jihoon and Y/n. He then understand the situation. She's angry with her mate because he didn't give her his full attention. Instead he went to the other female.

Minghao stopped the alpha from trying to get any closer to the omega. "Alpha, I'll take Y/n home. You can bring Minseo. She wants you to." Minghao then turned back to Y/n and asked her to get on his back again.

"I'm good-" "I know you're mad with him but this is not the right time to be ego, Y/n. Now get on my back."

Y/n pressed her lips into thin lines. "Why... why can't he?" "Simple, because he's an idiot." Minghao whispered back to her. "Now, let's go home."

Y/n gave up and let Minghao carry her on his back as she lowly sobbed.

Jihoon clenched his fist in anger when he saw how close Minghao's hands were to her bum.
