Emily  (Two Weeks Later)

I was becoming more acquainted with the town each day that passed.

Everyone in this town was so friendly. It truly reminded me of my town. It was the reason why I came back home after I had graduated college. I guess I had come accustomed to the small-town feel.

I was not very fond of big cities like my brother was. My brother Aiden has been living in New York since he left for college. His dream was to become a lawyer, just like uncle Derreck, dad's older brother. He's been doing surprisingly well up there. He's working for a top firm after all.

But even they missed the city, coming back to town and opening a law firm right downtown. I have always preferred the quietness and tranquility of a small town. Which made me fall in love with the surrounding area in this town. It was like stepping into a hallmark movie.

Today, we are having a picnic in town. I was getting ready as we speak.

I decided on a blue-colored shorts romper with white gladiator sandals. I left my hair down and went with a natural tone makeup.

Tyler wore blue jeans and a black V-neck with black loafers.

The picnic was taking place at a park that conjoined with the lake that was nearby. By the sounds of it, the whole town was gathering there to welcome home all of their college students.

I loved how this town was so united. Not even my town had a welcoming party for all the new graduates from college. I mean most college graduates took off directly to their career destinations. Not many of them bothered to come back other than for the summer or visits.

But, it looks like this town is so united, that every person that's sent off to study, comes back and works here as well. It's pretty cool if you ask me. Maybe that's why this whole town is thriving.

Tyler leans forward placing his hands on my shoulders and kissing my neck, making me smile. I look at him through the reflection in the mirror. His eyes look so beautiful and full of light.

I place my hand over his hand and kiss his knuckles.

"Ready?" He asks, my heart's rhythm is out of the question. It's beating profusely inside my chest. I am beyond nervous. This picnic means a lot to Tyler and Blake.

They have been talking about it nonstop for the past week.

"Yes. I'm ready." I say smiling at him. He takes my hand, helping me to my feet.

Our eyes meet, and I could feel sparks running through my body as he slowly places his hands around my waist pulling me to him. "You look beautiful." He says in a husky voice making me melt.

I got on my tippy-toes and kissed his lips, caressing his chest. A grunt escaping him as our mouths molded together perfectly. Kissing him felt so good, so right. It was as if I was meant to be with him.
