Like a Discarded Sofa

You treated me like a discarded sofa

You used me

Appreciated me

Until you thought an upgrade was needed

Threw me to the curb

Without so much as a farewell

You let the rain soak me

Cars spray mud on me

Wildlife use me as some kind of sanctuary

You tried to pawn me off

But no one wanted me

Not after you ruined me

Who ever wants to take

A discarded sofa

One of those on the side of the road

Propped up on the curb

After days and days of rain

No one does

So I guess it's off to the landfill
