I was never a fan of amusement parks
So it's funny that I fell for you of all people
You were like
An amusement park
Or more specifically
All the rides you can find at those amusement parks
A roller coaster
Something I despise
But you?
I never despised you
You made my stomach flip and turn
My heart plummet
But in the end
You were pure exhilaration
You took my breath away
Pure excitement
Was how I felt
Around you
But I should have known at the start
Amusement parks are day trips
Something that lasts for only a short while
I should have known
You were like an amusement park
Even if I liked you more
Than a roller coaster ride
You were only for a short period of time
I should have known
You wouldn't last
I wish it could've worked
But like amusement parks
I have to eventually go home
