She and I
Have what I like to call
Snail love
I coined the term
Just for her and I
I think
It fits the two of us
Quite well
Me
More than her
We take it slow
But when no one is watching
We speed our love up
We're both shy
It took us
Forever
To come out
Of our shells
It took us
Even longer than
Forever
To admit our feelings
For so long
I thought
They were unrequited
Apparently
She thought the same
And now
That we can love each other
We don't let anything bind us
Until people look our way
And we slow it down
Crawl back inside our shells
But once they turn away
She and I
Are a force to be reckoned with
Our love
Though it started off sluggish
Is quick paced
And nothing
Is held back
