Autumn
Is such a spectacular season
Pumpkins everywhere you go
Porches
Covered in gourds and jack-o-lanterns
A chill in the air
A scarf hiding your nose and smile
School back in session
Meaning peaceful days at parks
Not worrying about children clamoring and yelling
Pumpkin spice lattes
Warming hands and hearts
The smell of pumpkin spice
Always lingering in the air
Doesn't matter where you are
The smell is there
Or maybe
Cranberry apple
Not as frequent
But a strong contender
For autumn scents
Leaves
Are everywhere
Dancing to the ground
In your hair
On my leather jacket
Underneath your Doc Martens
Crunching with every step
That we take
Autumn
Is such a spectacular season
With so many trademarks
To its name
It's my favorite
It's the only season
That makes me stay
