Y'all really fuckin hated how I ended the last chapter, huh? Be prepared to probably hate this one too then I guess. Without coming across as rude, all I can say is: trust the process. I know what I'm doing. Thanks.

"Baby, I'm home." I call down the corridor, closing the door behind me and kicking off my shoes

A bag of groceries in each arm, I take a few steps down the hall and turn into the kitchen. Plopping the bags down with a tiny huff, I wipe my hands on my uniforms skirt and listen for Bucky. A minute passes in complete silence but then a high pitch 'clang' chirped from the garage. I make my way back across the kitchen and hall, opening the door to the single car garage and spot Bucky

Laying on his back on the concrete floor, tools scattered around his sides, and his 'new' motorcycle perched above him. Just over a week ago we spotted the old and run-down bike at the end of someones driveway, the sign on the windshield reading 'if you can fix it, it's yours'. The poor thing needed practically all new everything. Speedometer, ignition, plugs, shock absorbers, seats, brakes. Honestly it would be better off in a dump

But Bucky gave me that wide eyed puppy-dog look and I was telling him to grab it before he could even ask. He's been looking for a project to work on anyways since the house didn't need much fixing. The two bedrooms just need a fresh coat of paint, front porch steps need to be refurbished, and one of the living room windows won't open. At least not for me, Bucky can crank it open if he tries

We're lucky to have found this place when we did honestly. The previous owner had their financing fall through leading into the home being foreclosed on. I was talking with one of the realtors at the agency when their colleague came over with the file. The one helping me jokingly offered the house and I immediately said I'd take it, flashing my Stark card. They didn't question me after that, only asking when I'd like to move in

Three days later Bucky and I walked into the house

Our house

A cozy little shack in South Dakota. Three bedrooms, two bath, one car garage, decent size fenced in yard, wrap around front deck with a porch swing. The neighboring houses spacious in-between

Over the past couple weeks, the team would visit us frequently, all but Tony of course. I filled Clint in on the whole situation and he seemed happy for us, knowing what it's like to hide a secret relationship so he could relate. They'd help us repair little things or move furniture in for us and Bucky and I would cook them all dinner as a thank you

It was weird in the beginning. Going from a crummy motel to a house. From only two pairs of clothes to Nat and Steve bringing all of mine and Buckys belongings from the compound. The first time only Steve, Wanda and Nat came out. Each with a 'housewarming gift' for us. Blankets and pillows, a set of plates and bowls, and a few bottles of wine

While Bucky was in the garage with Steve trying to figure out the automatic garage door mechanics, Nat and Wanda stood around the kitchen with me. Just catching me up on everything

Any and all signs of Hydra have ceased. What with their main man in charge, Rumlow, now gone and probably knowing that we were hunting down the other test subjects. They didn't know what to do and have been laying low the past weeks

Most of SHIELD knows of Bucky and I. Not in great detail obviously but they know of our relationship and that we quit. Fury, like I had predicted, was elated when Rumlow was brought in and in return made sure that SHIELD left Bucky and I alone as a thank you. I almost broke down in tears when Wanda told me that Tony plans to keep my bank account full as his way of making sure I'm still being taken care of. Even after all the harsh words and betrayal, he still cares dearly about me
