Chapter 82

A/N: Thank you everyone for all the kind and supportive comments on my Author Note chapter. I could feel each hug and definitely cried a little from all the love. I'm still grieving but, I'm slowly getting better every day. Figured you all waited long enough though so, here's the long awaited next segment <3

Our honeymoon to Iceland was absolutely amazing. The flight both there and back seemed to never end and the jet lag wasn't a total treat but the experiences we had while there made up for it all

We rented a car and drove the entire northern part of Iceland. Stopping in bigger cities to explore and shop. Trying new foods, learning more Norse 'mythology', and of course taking pictures. We visited geysers, inactive volcanoes which we walked the circumference of, hiked the side of a mountain to find a hidden spring lake. We even stopped and observed puffin island since I've never seen one before

We booked a few hotels so we could travel across the country and enjoy ourselves along the way. Bucky surprised me on our last day when he turned the car into the lot of the Blue Lagoon hot spring. I thought we were headed back to the airport to drop off the car early and visit a few shops before our flight home tonight

"What're we doing here?" I ask with an arched brow, looking up from the GPS on my phone

"Visiting one of the most famous places Iceland has?" Bucky responds with his own questioning tone

I roll my eyes at his remark, "but why? I thought you didn't want to." Which I understood. With his arm and everything he didn't want to draw any attention

Bucky lightly shrugs, trying to conceal a smug smirk but failing as he glanced at me. "I may have called and requested a private section for us."

"Really?" My face lights up and I'm suddenly giddy. Bucky nods, no longer hiding his smile as he pulled into a parking spot

We gathered our swimsuits and headed in. The smell of the sulfur swirling around us. The woman at the front desk greets us, checking us in and handing us off to another staff member who leads us to our private section

We change in the bathroom, rinse in the shower as instructed, and make our way outside to the Lagoon. Tall jagged black rocks surrounded our area with a small opening leading to the larger main part of the spa. The water as blue as the sky and steaming. It was so warm, almost like dipping into a hot bath

I almost immediately feel the effects of the water. The sulfur and silica rejuvenation left me feeling like jelly and smooth. Bucky watches me float on my back with a smirk while he knelt in the hot water. After a few minutes of enjoying myself, I make my way over to Bucky and wrap my legs around his waist. Draping my arms loosely over his shoulders with a smile on my face

"God I love you." I admit a second before pressing my lips to his. He smiles against me, resting his hands on my hips under the water

A small tray of the Lagoons famous white mud, the same mud that covered the bottom of the lagoon, was left on the side of our private area for us to use. I thought I was gonna cry from laughing so hard when Bucky and I applied the mud to our faces. The best part was that we could just rinse it off into the Lagoon when done

The staff member that brought us to our spot stopped by with a drink cart, serving us cocktails and water in plastic cups. We then enjoyed the healing properties of the water, sipping our drinks and basking in one another's company for two hours

Afterwards we thoroughly rinsed off in the shower, dressed, and I stopped at the spas gift shop to buy a tube of their mud mask. Then we were headed to the airport which was thankfully only twenty minutes away
