And hey you guessed it, major credit for inspiration goes to the one and only heyitslettym

"I don't hate you Amelia..." he speaks slow and low

Let me tell you, the way my name rolled off his tongue and past those perfect pink plump lips of his, mmm to say the least, it made something flutter. Buckys words both shock and add further questions to my already overstimulated mind. Though my body is reacting completely different, my head is still miraculously level so my confusion is quickly mixed with anger towards the god like man standing in front of me

Then why is he treating me like some inexperienced little brat? Like I'm unworthy of being on the team? I've been working my ass off, training everyday for hours, until my body and mind can't take it anymore. Sure, I don't have the same kind of training or past experiences as him but fucking nobody does!

The closest one would be Steve and even that's a stretch. Hell, Steve respects and likes me! Him and I got along right off the bat. So, the only thing I need to know is..

"Why do you treat me like shit then? I have done NOTHING wrong to you." I feel the anger bubbling up from my core, my voice ever so slightly rising but I can't stop it. "Don't think I haven't noticed how you act around me Barnes. The disgust in your eyes says it all. You put up a wall when I'm even mentioned! It's- it's as if just being in the same room as me physically kills you and-"

I'm quickly cut off by Bucky fully turning on his heel to face me, forcing his metal hand over my mouth and pushing me back into a think tree trunk, completely silencing me. The cold metal of his bionic arm shocks my warm skin

His flesh hand is next to my shoulder against the tree as he's leaning against it and trapping me in my spot. I flinch at his sudden actions, having not expected them. Buckys slightly bent down towards me, bringing our faces a mere 2 inches apart. Again, my body reacts on its own free will and practically melts under him, clearly excited to be nearly flush against Buckys taut body. I stare up into his intense blue eyes, even though everything around me is various shades of green and grey due to the night vision. His piercing eyes seem to shine through

"That's because it does. Now, you need to be quiet." He whispers through clenched teeth. Eyes ablaze with frustration and yet little shards of worry twinkle just behind the hard expression

We're both breathing heavily, probably due to our close proximity, and for two completely different reasons. After a few moments of just staring at one another, I regain some composure and place one of my hands on his metal one, prying his digits from covering my mouth

"So sorry to be such a nuisance then. Pretend I'm not even here.." I whisper, a hint of sorrow in my tone, before focusing my energy and watching my reflection in his eyes disappear

He sighs heavily, the warm breath gently blowing my hair past my shoulders. Buckys expression shifts to one I can't fully read but it looks almost like guilt. He drops his arms and continues marching towards the hideout. I remain completely silent the rest of the journey but continue my task of scanning the area around us

We made it to the shack effortlessly to find only a handful of guards posted outside. I wasn't given a debriefing or file to know exactly what we were stealing but clearly it wasn't something massively important. The lack of security proved that

"I can take two. You take the other. Silently." Bucky grumbles next to me

I give him a curt nod, not that he can actually see me anyways, but follow his order. I creep out from the hidden spot we were in and carefully as to not kick up any dirt, make my way to the line of guards. I unsheathe the blade on my thigh as I rounded one of the men. He was chuckling at whatever the other two were saying, all holding their rifles but no fingers were on the triggers
