Walking down the dark streets, rainfall making the few people on the sidewalk move quicker. Just wanting to get home and out of the downpour. Wet earth and tar mix with the scents of all the food shops lining the street. The rain appeared to move in waves along the breeze, hammering down with a watery splat. Deafening all other sounds

Neon signs illuminate the wet pavement, reflecting the lights off puddles back in the faces of civilians as they pass. But I didn't understand the words on the signs. They were in a different language. Asian culture, I know that much. But for some reason I don't look close enough to identify which origin it is

I don't even question why I'm walking the streets at night during a heavy storm. I just.. keep moving. Like my body wasn't my own

I scan the streets, loosely and carelessly holding a black umbrella over my head. Two men following closely behind on either side of me. When I glance at their faces, I'm met with large shadowed bodies with their hoods up and face masks. Blocking any detail for me to catch besides brown eyes

But I do notice the glint of a pistol in a holster on one of the men's hips

The man without the weapon points to a building lit up with more neon signs that I couldn't read. Only thing I recognized was a lit up fish logo. The one pointing mumbles something to me that I don't quite catch but my feet move without hesitation

Crossing the empty street, I walk up to the door, glancing back to make sure the two men were behind me before pushing the door open.

I scrunch my face as I awaken, grumbling to myself as I roll over to further bury my face into the pillow

Pillow?

Cracking my eyes open into slits, I slowly recognize mine and Buckys bedroom. Sitting up to look around the space, the spot next to me is empty and I hear faint voices downstairs. Carefully, I swing my legs off the bed and slowly stand. My muscles feeling like they haven't been used in months and strain to hold me up

What was that dream? Why was everything so vivid? It was like I was actually there

I make it half way across our bedroom towards the door when I stumble and trip, landing with a harsh thud. The voices downstairs halt at the sudden noise. I curse myself for not being able to pick my feet up properly but, it's probably for the best I alert people that I'm up this way

Definitely didn't want them finding out by my dumbass tripping down the stairs

A moment later and Bucky is bounding into the room, a gentle gleam in his eyes as he looks to me. "Hey doll, easy now," he kneels beside me and loops an arm under both of mine, slowly standing with me

"How- how long was I asleep?" I grumble out, voice raspy and dry

Bucky helps me walk to our shared bathroom, sitting me down on the toilet lid. "A couple hours. Here, drink." He grabs one of the Dixie cups from the stack next to the sink and fills it with water before handing it to me

I take the small cup from him and drink the entire thing in two large gulps, handing the cup back to him for a refill. Already feeling ten times better and refreshed

"Who's all downstairs?" I ask before swallowing back the next cup of water

"The team. They all wanted to make sure you were alright." Bucky leans back against the sink, crossing his arms over his chest

I nod slowly, fiddling with the dixie cup in my hands. Bucky watches me for a few moments, letting me fully wake up and what-not. Taking the cup from me when I pinch the waxed over cardboard lip for the eighth time and throwing it away. Bucky slowly lowers himself into a squat in front of me, resting his elbows on his knees as he grabs my hands gently
