Chapter-4 : Shoot you? Shoot you Not?

*Rachel's POV*-

As I exited from the washroom and was headed towards Jake's office, I heard loud angry shouts coming from within. I knew it was his always-angry boss.Even as a boss he needed to stay in his limit.

Just as I walked in, I heard him say, "Don't make me..."
That's when I had enough and threatened him.

"I'll advice you to choose your next words carefully."

Just as I said that, he turned towards me. I think I might have forgotten to breathe when I looked at him.He was the most attractive guy I had ever seen, as if God took his precious time in making him.
He seemed to be 6'5 in height or something I guessed by looking at his tall frame. His shirt complemented his body perfectly by showing the outline of his muscles.

"Watch your mouth lady. You don't know what you're getting yourself into."

And that's when the reality came crashing in. He's just like the others, perfect from the outside but shitty from the inside.

"What makes you think that you can talk to him like that? And don't give me that joke of an excuse that you're his boss." I said with no fear in my eyes.

If looks could kill,then I would have been long dead by now. It was as if he was throwing daggers at me through his eyes.

He started walking towards me and stopped right in front of me. That's when I noticed his eyes, those dark blue eyes with few spots of green scattered in them, they seemed so deep yet empty.
Even though he was intimidating,I stood my ground.

"Do you even know who I am? And what I can do?" He said with venom dripping from each word. I could swear I heard a growl resonate from him,but I ignored it blaming it to be my imagination.

Yes,I knew who he was. The heir to the most powerful family and the dream of every woman.

"Other than you being Jake's boss? No I don't know you and I don't even want to know about you.Must have hurt your feelings right?what do you do other than being a spoiled heir to the throne and a loud screaming asshole?" I asked.

Just within seconds without me realising what was going on he pulled out a gun and pointed it straight at my head. And Stephan gives me lectures about anger issues.

"If only you'd been a man, your body would had been lying on this floor dead by now." He paused.Waiting to see my reaction but I gave none.

"But I won't shoot you because I don't shoot women."he continued.Unfortunate for him.

That's when Jake finally spoke.
"No sir, please don't harm her. She doesn't know what she's talking about. I'll send her home sir but please don't shoot her." He begged for my life.Did Jake really think that he was going to shoot me? He was just bark and no bite.

Daniel looked towards Jake who was drawing his attention, and that's when I took the chance.

I grabbed the gun with my left hand and moved my head towards right so that it wasn't in the line of the gun and with my free right hand I striked his wrist which made him lose his gun.This all happend within 3 seconds due to which he didn't even register what had happened and now I was holding HIS gun aiming right at HIS head.

"Well it's a shame that you don't shoot women because I won't mind killing a man any day."

When he realised what had happened he was extremely furious.I could see anger as well as surprise on his face.

*Daniel's POV*-

What The FUCK just happened?????
Did she just take MY gun from ME?
No human had ever surprised and shocked me like she Did.I wasn't expecting that to happen.
If this woman hadn't already caught my attention,she sure as hell did now.

I stared her down. Taking deep breaths and controlling my wolf.He has taken a special liking to this human even when she challenged us.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and opening them to be looking again at those hypnotising green eyes.

When I didn't say anything she said."I guess I should get going now." She paused on her way out before turning back. "Remember Your Highness, you owe me your life now....."

"Because I didn't kill you when I had the chance to." she smirked as she placed the gun on the table and walked away.

I had so many emotions going through me right now.

"Sir? Is this a good time...probably not, but am I fired? " Finally Jake spoke.He was shocked from what had happened infront of him.

I let out a deep breath,not letting anger get the best of me again."No Jake you're not fired. I am sorry if I was harsh. I had a lot on my mind. Please take care of the work, I'll be heading out now." That's all I could say.

I set on the journey to find my mate. To do so, I needed some help and the only beings capable of helping me were The Oracles.
