Chapter 50: Preparation

Third Person POV 

In a large forest, Salem slowly walked down a dark path as a pack of beowolves slowly looked at her. Sensing something, the beowolves left her as Salem continued to walk down the path before stopping. Looking up, Salem slowly looked up to see a burnt down village. 

Salem: Where it all began. Where I found him and raised him. 
She said as tears slowly ran down her cheeks. 

To Y/N 

Y/N leaned against a car as he looked at his scroll, seeing the address before lowering his scroll. 

Y/N: This is great. I finally get to bring Ruby back. 
He said and opens the car door to only see a hand on it. 

???: Where are you going Y/N. 

Y/N: Son of a bitch Dante. 
He groans with annoyance before turning to him. 

Dante: Hey, just wondering where you were going. 
He said as he looked at him. 

Y/N: Somewhere. 
He said and turns back to the door. 

Dante: And what about that girl. 
He said before opening the back door, revealing an unconscious Emerald. 

Y/N: Somewhere. 
He repeats himself before getting up and walks to the driver's seat before being stopped by Dante. 

Dante: Do you really think doing this will bring you peace. 
He said as he looked at him. 

Y/N: What else can I do. 
He said as he walked up to the door before feeling his hand on his shoulder. 

Dante: Then what once you go the place where he's holding her. 
He said as Y/N glared at him. 

Y/N: Then what else can I do. I've wasted too much being around here and doing nothing but talk to a useless bitch. 
He spat in anger as he looked at Dante. 

Dante: The place could be a trap. 
He said as Y/N turned around and opened the door to start the car. 

Dante: Y/N. Wai-
He said before being punched across the jaw, sending him crashing into the ground as Y/N got into his car before driving off. 

Dante: Damn...that kid can hit hard. 
He chuckled before spitting out blood. 

???: Didn't think the devil hunter can be bested by his nephew. 
The voice chuckled as Dante laid on the ground. 

Dante: That kid is going to kill me someday. Too old for this. 

To Weiss 

Weiss: Come on you two, we got a festival to attend to. 
She said as she looked at her two teammates. 

Blake sighs before getting up as Yang continued to lay on the bed. 

Weiss: Yang. 
She said as she looked at her. 

Yang: I...think I'll just lay here. I'll catch up with you in a few minutes. 
She said as she looked at the wall, continuing to lay down on her bed. 

Weiss: Ya-

Blake: Weiss, I'll see if I can convince Yang to come out .
She said as Weiss sighs. 

Weiss: Sure thing. 
She said before walking out of the room as Blake sat down next to Yang. 

Blake: Yang... you can't always be in this room. 

Yang: Why shouldn't I Blake... Ruby is gone and Y/N is gone. I couldn't find my baby sister and I couldn't protect my friend either. 
She said as tears slowly ran down her cheeks. 

Blake: Yang... 

Yang: Just go...

To Emerald 

Emerald groans in pain as she slowly opened her eyes to see that she was in a car, feeling bindings around her leg and wrists. 

Emerald: Where am I? 
She thought to herself as she looked around the car. 

???: Finally awake. Good. 
She heard a voice before turning to see Y/N driving down the road. 

Emerald: Damn you. 
She hissed at him as Y/N turned his head towards her.

Emerald: Once I get out of these binds, I'm going to strangle you and kill that bitch. 
She growls angrily as Y/N chuckled. 

Y/N: Don't worry, you'll be out in a bit. 
He said as Emerald looked at him with confusion. 

Emerald: W-W-What are you planning on doing? 
She asked with hints of fear. 

Y/N: You'll find out long soon enough. 

To Dante 

Dante: Damn...that kid threw a hell of a punch. 
He groaned in pain as he rubbed his cheek.

???: Considering how hell bent he is trying to find this girl. 

Dante: I know Alyssa. Just never thought he'll be planning on using that girl as bait. 
He said as he looked at her. 

Alyssa: I wonder where he gets it from. 
She said before looking at Vergil. 

Vergil: I've never used a hostage to get something my way Dante. 

Dante: That I am surprised to hear. 
He said as Vergil turned towards him. 

Vergil: Surprised to hear what. 

Dante: To hear that my big brother hasn't used a hostage. 
He said as Vergil chuckles. 

Dante: But that kid, he definitely gets it from you. Like father, like son. 

Somewhere Else 

Y/N slowly stopped in front of a facility as he pulled out Red queen and Blue Rose. 

Emerald: N-N-No matter what you do, I'll never help you. 
She hisses. 

Y/N: What I was hoping for. 
He said as Emerald looked at him with confusion and fear. 

To Mercury 

Mercury sat in a room as he looked at Ruby, seeing her tied to a wall as she laid down on her side. 

Mercury: Only a few hours left. Something doesn't feel right. 
He thought to himself as he looked at the screen once more. 

BANG 

Mercury: What the hell!? 
He asks as he looks at another screen, showing the car outside of the facility in flames. 

Mercury: The hell is going on out there. 
He said before grabbing a gun a and walked out of the room. 

Mercury: Who did this? 
He asked himself as he held his gun up, seeing the destroyed vehicle. 

???: M-Mercury...
He heard a familiar voice before turning to the side to see Emerald against the wall. 

Mercury: EMERALD! 
He yells and rushed to her before hugging her tightly. 

Mercury: W-What the hell are you doing out here? 
He asked as he looked at her, holding her hand in his. 

Emerald: Y-Y-Y/N. 
She said as she held onto him tightly. 

Mercury: Where is he. 
He growls with anger. 

BANG 

Mercury: AHHH! 
He screams in pain as he held his wound before turning to see Y/N holding Ruby over his shoulder. 

Mercury: You...
He growls with anger as Y/N looked at him blankly. 

Y/N: Hello Mercury. 

Mercury: You monster. 
He growls as Watts stood on a roof, watching them from above with a smirk. 

Watt: Oh, this is going to be sweet. Let the best man win.
