Chapter 16: Old Enemies

Third Person POV 

Y/N stood in front of Raven as Alyssa looked at the two of them. 

Raven: How. 
She said to him. 

Y/N: How what.

Raven: The Fall Maiden. How did you kill a maiden. 

Y/N: I planned it. 

Raven: How? 
She asked, shocked. 

Y/N: Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. 
He said as he looks at her blankly while Alyssa was smiling. 

Raven went to speak again but saw Ozpin coming towards from the tower. 

Raven: Gr. 
She growls before slashing open a portal and leaving while Alyssa looks at him before teleporting away. 

Ozpin: Mr L/N. Why did you kill that girl in the tower?
He asked him. 

Y/N: Simple. I took out a key factor. 

Ozpin: Key factor in what? 
He asked, confused. 

Y/N: You really don't know do you. 
He said as he looks at him. 

Ozpin: What do you mean? 
He asked as he looks at him. 

Y/N: The Fall of Beacon. 
He said to him. 

Ozpin: What. 

Y/N: Fall of Beacon starts with Fall Maiden. 

Ozpin: Y-Y-You mean she was-

Y/N: The Fall Maiden. I was there when she took it Ozpin. 
He said to him, clenching his fist in anger. 

Ozpin: So you were also the one that hunted her down. 
He said to him. 

Y/N: What do you think? Betrayed by those I worked with my entire life, only to be betrayed. 
He growled as a hint of blue aura formed around him. 

Ozpin looks at him as he sees his blue aura forming before it slowly died down. 

Y/N: Now you have your answer. 
He said to him. 

Ozpin: Took out a key factor. By killing the one that tried to kill the maiden. 
He said to him. 

Y/N: Not just kill. 

Ozpin: What do you mean? 

Y/N: I took away their motivation. 
He told him. 

Ozpin: Their? 

Y/N: There was a group, I merely killed their leader and lover. 
He smirks. 

Ozpin: I see. 
He said as he suddenly heard an alarm coming from his watch. 

Ozpin: What the? She is not supposed to be awake. 

Y/N: She? 

Ozpin: Come with me. 
He said and ran to the tower with Y/N following. 

To Vergil 

Vergil: So how was he? 
He asked Alyssa as she hugged him from behind. 

Alyssa: Strong. Determined. Just like you. 
She answered as she hugged him tightly. 

Alyssa: He has his mother's eyes. 

Vergil: He does. And she would be right here if I stopped Mundus that day. 
He said as he looked at Yamato. 

Alyssa: No need to be angry at yourself. 
She said as she looked at him. 

Vergil: Then she took him in that day. And my mind was toyed with all these years. 
He said as he looks at her. 

Vergil: Until you've freed me. 
He looks at her. 

Alyssa smiles as she looked at him before Vergil looks away to the stars. 

Vergil: I'll protect him. I swear on it. 
He said as he held Yamato tightly. 

To Y/N 

Y/N followed Ozpin into a room where he sees a machine with pods. 

Y/N: So this is where you've been keeping her. 
He said as he looked at him. 

Ozpin: We tried our best to keep her alive. 
He said to him.

Y/N: I see. 
He said as he looks to Amber, who was banging on the door. 

Y/N: Now that Cinder is dead, you have to the powers now. 
He mutters to himself as he looks at Amber. 

Ozpin walks to a control panel as he proceeds to open the pod while Y/N walked up to the pod. 

Ozpin: You might want to stand back. 
He said as the pod door suddenly slammed into Y/N, causing him to crash onto the ground. 

Ozpin: Well that was unexpected. 
He said as the room suddenly turned cold as Amber's eyes glowed as she glared at Y/N. 

Amber: You. 
She growled as she formed a spear in her hand. 

Y/N: Here we go again.
