Chapter 79: Mistral

Third Person POV 

Amber: So what is your plan once you get me and the girl to Mistral? 
She asked as she looked at Y/N. Her hands gripping her rope tightly as they slowly rode down a single road. 

Y/N: Simple. Get you to Mistral and do what you want while I do my job. 

Amber: And what's that? Kill me and take my powers? 
She asked rhetorically as Y/N looked at her. 

Y/N: If I wanted to, I would have done it already. 
He said as Amber scoffs. 

Amber: Then you would have been ashes. 

Y/N: All it would take is a simple pill and drag your corpse to the rendezvous point. 
He said as Amber growled. 

Y/N: Shh... the girl is sleeping. 
He said, pressing his finger against his lips as he felt Pyrrha's arms tighten around him. Her arms tightly wrapped around his chest as her head laid into his shoulder. 

Amber: I should have killed you then. 

To Ozpin 

Goodwitch: Has L/N responded yet? 
She asked as she stood in front of Ozpin, holding a data slate in her hands. 

Ozpin: The three of them are on their way to Mistral. 

Goodwitch: Mind filling me in on why you sent them there? 

Ozpin: If you insist. 
He said before placing a folder on his desk. 

Goodwitch: This is L/N's folder. 
She said as she opened it, revealing its content as Ozpin nodded. 

Goodwitch: You knew all this time? 
She asked as she glared at him whilee Ozpin nodded silently. 

Goodwitch: You knowingly brought a criminal into the school. 
She growled as Ozpin  nodded once again. 

Ozpin: An asset. An asset formerly aligned with her is useful. 

Goodwitch: A criminal is still a criminal. 

Ozpin: And without him, the school would have been compromised.

Goodwitch: And how do you know that? 
She asked, crossing her arms together. 

Ozpin: Thanks to L/N. He was the one who disposed of her. 
He said as he pulled out an USB out of his drawer. 

Goodwitch: And tell me, what are you going to do if he turns his back on you and go back to her?

Ozpin: If it came down to that, I'm sure Theodore and Ironwood would deal with him. 

Goodwitch: And what about Ms Nikos and Ms Autumn? 

Ozpin: With how things have turned out, I'm sure nothing will happen to them. 

To Pyrrha 

Y/N: You hungry? 

Pyrrha: Yeah. 
She said, laying her head on his shoulder as Y/N reached into his bag. 

Pyrrha: How far are we from Mistral? 

Y/N: We should be coming up on it anytime now. 
He said as he held a piece of bread in front of her. 

Pyrrha: Thanks. 
She said, grabbing the piece of bread before biting into it. 

Amber: Did Ozpin tell you how long we're going to be here? 
She asked as she looked at the two. 

Y/N: Only a few days. Shouldn't be too long down here. 
He said as Pyrrha looked at him. 

Pyrrha: Did Ozpin tell you why we're here? 
She asked as a large gate came into view. 

Amber: Looks like we're almost there. 
She said as the three rode the gate before hearing a booming voice. 

???: Who goes there? 
A voice called out to them as Y/N reached into his bag. 

Y/N: Just students of Beacon Academy. 
He answered as he held a note in hand before seeing a large man, wearing a leather armor with a brown cloak. His sword strapped to his side as another with a polearm out from behind him. 

Guard 1: Why you all out here in this time of the year eh? 
He asked as he stood by the them. 

Y/N: Just an assignment sir. 
He said as the guard took his note and opened it. 

Guard 1: Harsh for the headmaster to send you all the out here. Glad you've all made it safely though. 
He said before turning around. 

Guard 1: Open the gate! 
He yelled out as the gate slowly opened, its gear cranking to life as it slowly lifted. 

Guard 1: Enjoy your time in Mistral. 
He said as Y/N nodded before riding into Mistral. 

Pyrrha: Y/N, what are we doing here? 
She asked as she looked at him. 

Y/N: I'll tell you when we find somewhere to sleep for the night. 
He answered her as the three continued to ride down the empty road, hearing distant voices as they rode closer. 

Pyrrha: We can stay at my parents. 
She said as Y/N looked at her. 

Y/N: Are you sure? 
He asked as Pyrrha nodded with a small smile. 

Pyrrha: Yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the three of us. 

Mini-time skip 

???: Pyrrha! 
An older feminine voice called as Y/N waited outside with Amber. 

Amber: Are you sure they'll even let us stay? 
She asked as she looked at him. 

Y/N: I'm not even sure. I don't think they'll like us. 

Amber: Maybe. Maybe not. 
She said, still sitting on her horse. 

Pyrrha: Hey guys, they said they'll be okay with us staying here! 
She told them with a smile. 

Y/N/Amber: Oh. 
They both said as they looked at her. 

Pyrrha: What? Is something wrong? 
She asked as she titled her head. 

Amber: No. Just tired. 
She said and climbs off her horse. 

Amber: I'll be inside. 
She said before goes inside with her bags. 

Pyrrha's POV 

Y/N: I'm surprised you've convinced your parents to let us stay her. 
He said as I looked at him with a small smile. 

"It wasn't hard to convince them." 
I said as I looked at him with a smile. 

Y/N: Really? 

"Yeah. I just told them you were friends from Beacon and we were sent here by Ozpin for a mission." 

Y/N: And they're fine with it? 

"Yeah." 
I said with a smile. 

Y/N: Well then. 
he said before grabbing his bags as he yawns. 

Y/N: I'll be going to bed. It's been a long day. 
He said as I looked at him. His arm hanging over hhis shoulder with his bag in hand. 

???: Lovely of you to come home Pyrrha. 
I heard her voice as I felt my heart stop. Seeing her stand by the door. Her red eyes staring at me with a bloody grin as she scratched the wall with her bloodied nails. 

???: It's going to be a happy reunion.
