- sarah loved to shop

- whether it was in store or online, she always kept her closet full to the brim

- and subsequently, so did you

- once you got together you became her shopping buddy, not that you were complaining

- at least once every three months, sarah set up this mandatory shopping day

- marking it on both of your calendars and putting it in your phones so neither of you forgot

- she made a whole itinerary of which stores you'd be going to

- carving out time during the day to have lunch too
sarah knew all of the best sales

- you asked about a store? she knew the current sale by heart

- usually she picked a saturday for the day of shopping

- calling it 'shop til we drop day'

- the morning of, she'd usually let herself into your house and jump on your sleeping figure in bed, smothering you in kisses as you woke up

- "it's still so early, babe. why?" you questioned in a groan

- "umm. you didn't forget did you?"

- "forget what?" you responded, deciding to mess with her.

- "shop til we drop day, y/n! are you serious? you really forgot?"

- you jumped up, pulling the covers off to show your outfit

- "gotcha!"

- she shoved you playfully, moving off the bed

- "babe! i thought you forgot!"

- "of course i didn't forget. how could you have let me?" you quipped, gathering your things. "now let's go shop til we drop."

- ok so now for the actual shopping

- you both kinda split up once you were in the store
sarah reminded you to not pick out the same color you always do, telling you that any color looks good on you so you should take advantage of it

- so you tried to keep that in mind

- you both would pick out clothes for not only yourself but for each other too

- because you knew each other's styles

- and because sarah kept a note of your sizes in her phone, she was always spot on

- once you figured out her secret, you made one for her too

- you shopped on different sides of the store to avoid picking out the same things out for one another

- and then after some time, you'd both meet by the dressing rooms

- exchanging the clothes you picked out for the other while going in to try on your selections too

- then whoever gets done changing last will do the secret code knock to let the other know they can come in the dressing room

- so you can evaluate and compliment the shit out of each other's outfits

- all while you decide on which pieces to add to the yes pile, the no pile, and the maybe-but-i-could-live-without-it-pile

- definitely some reassuring moments too if you're not really feeling the fit

- "what do you think?" you asked, scanning yourself in the mirror, chewing on your bottom lip in uncertainty

- "i think you look beautiful. put that in the yes pile before i have to." sarah teased, kissing your exposed shoulder softly.

- "you think so?" you questioned. "i mean what if it looks worse at home? what if it's just the fancy dressing room mirrors deceiving our eyes?"

- "stop that, y/n. it looks perfect now and it will look just as perfect at home, too."

- ok so let's talk about surprises

- in the event that sarah was out shopping without you, she'd more often than not buy you something
one time, a diamond necklace

- giving it to you as soon as she saw you next, clasping it around your neck as you stared at it in the mirror, in complete awe

- it was beautiful

- "this necklace made me think of you, i hope you like it."

- but in reality everything made her think of you

- when your eyes caught the number at the bottom of the receipt laying on her dresser, your eyes shot open and your heart skipped a beat

- "sarah! you really need to stop buying everything, you're dad's gonna kill you."

- it's true. once, ward grounded her for a month because she maxed out her limit on her credit card.

- but you still climbed up the house and snuck in her window to see her hehehe screw you ward

- anyways

- she'd always brush it off

- "hey! don't look at the receipt, it doesn't matter!"
"but sarah— that's so much money! i feel kinda bad for accepting this. it's so pretty but that price is so painful."

- she raised her eyebrows, smirking as she could find her way out of this semi-lecture

- "then i guess you could say you're worth the pain, my love."
