Lydia's POV
Reece sits up so his face is level to mine. I sit too so we can talk like I know he's going want to. He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair.
"Lyd." He says and I know this is the beginning of a long story and lecture.
"You don't have to." He says. I told my eyes and scoff at him. He moves my face so I face him again.
"It's true. Please let me explain. I was about thirteen. My best friend his name is Alec. I loved him dearly. But he didn't feel good. He was clinically depressed. He didn't tell anyone. One night I got a text from him. It's was a suicide goodbye. I was asleep. And if I had been awake than I he would still be alive. He didn't tell anyone until it was too late."
His voice cracked and tears ran down his face. I wiped it away and he smiled at me. I smiled back. I took his hand in mine causing him I smile more.
"Okay. I get it." I say to him.
"Don't lie Lyd." He says with a smirk. I laugh.
"You really are an open book." He says to me causing me to laugh even more.
"Yeah. I try not to be." I say to him. He smiles and laughs.
"Well I'm an open book to. So we can be open books together." He says. I nod.
"Deal."
