Third Person POV

Jeongguk has suffered a lot of painful emotions in just a few years even though he never once showed it on his face but kept it hidden deep in his heart.

Even though he was expecting it, it did hurt when in marathon of him becoming a mafia boss, he has lost that charm of love and affection that came with his family. It affected his father and his own relationship more than with his mother. They were just a former mafia boss and a new mafia boss to one another.

It did hurt but he got over it almost immediately. It had hurt when he lost his chance of being a normal teenage and adult, wanting to be free of such grim and big responsibilities at such young age but he couldn't get any freedom.

That longing of freedom is still very much there but not as a fire but a mere flame that might just go off any moment and he doesn't want that. He wants to keep holding onto that one flame.

It had hurt losing his cheery and funny self to these torturous ways of exercising to become a heartless monster.

He heard gunshots and screams instead of laughter and cheers.

It had hurt when he lost his father but he didn't show it either and it surprisingly dissolved. Yet he will still take his revenge, no matter what. Revenge is what he never keeps due.

But nothing has ever hurt the way he's hurt now. The way his heart broke at the top of that building, locked behind that door and not being able to do anything.

Out of all the things, Jeon Jeongguk never expected to feel the pain of a fucking heartbreak. To ever experience a heartbreak because he never believed in love.

Yet here we are.

More authentic reason for Jeongguk to believe that love truly doesn't fucking exist.

The ride to the mansion feels like eternity as if every force out there is stopping for this night to proceed in any way.

Jeongguk's alone in the car, driving to the mansion in a nonchalant demeanor that holds a storm inside. The car on the passenger seat of which was Taehyung just a few hours ago. Laughing with him, hand on his thigh.

For all the laughs to be fake.

Jeongguk's hands are shaking as he grips the steering wheel. Not the fury kind of hand trembling but the fear kind. The fear of having being so weak and stupid and now, broken.

The cars are behind him, all of them having the same, tense and grim silence and fear of the night that's coming ahead.

Yoongi and Jimin were already patched up by Eunwoo but they had been feeling no pain at all. Not physical at least.

Not even a single person says a word.

Seokjin is pacing back and forth in the hall, biting his thumb nail in utter worry because it's been so late at night and they're not back yet.

Namjoon hasn't texted him a single text like he always does about the situation no matter what. He himself is not allowed to contact any of them when they're on the mission like this.

He jumps out of his thoughts when he hears the rumbles of the car engines and a sigh escapes his lips. A smile that was forming on his lips immediately vanishes when he sees Jeongguk enter, his expression so blank but so dangerous that Seokjin almost shivers. The mafia bosses rushes to the downside of the mansion.
